The food was good, which made up for the fact the waiter may have taken meth before we arrived. He fidgeted anxiously nearby while we decided what to order. There were red rings under his eyes. I gave up trying to read the French menu and ordered a cheeseburger. Luckily it was one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever eaten. It was three storeys high, wrapped in brioche and accompanied by sides of potatoes, salad and coleslaw. I will probably need heart surgery but no regrets, they don’t work.

This is not really the place to go if you are after a french food experience, but their burgers are incredible. Apparently everything is house made, and if this is true of the buns, I’m very impressed, as they were so soft and delicious. The patty is served medium-rare and the cheeseburgers have a generous serving of cheese. All round excellent The meals come with sides of potatoes, coleslaw and salad. The coleslaw was particularly good. Great being able to have your meal by the beach too. The only thing that would have improved our visit was more friendly service –our server was very brisk.
