This is one of only two boulangeries in this small village, but it is, in my opinion, the better one. There is a broad selection of various breads, as well as delicious looking pastries and other baked goodies. If your eyes don’t widen when you come here, then something is wrong with you. They also have pre-made sandwiches and mini pizzas. One of the upsides to Banette is that there are a couple of small tables outside, which is a rarity in France. They also serve coffee, which is also rare for boulangeries, but the downside is that it’s made from a Kuerig. I kind of wish this place wasn’t a chain, for it makes me wonder just how much of their product is baked fresh on the premises. But everything I have had thus far has been terrific. Baguettes are .95 €. But for just 5 cents more, try their Banette 1900, which is a rustic, more traditional kind of baguette. The croissants are just so-so though.
