Acanthe du Temple Hôtel

The front desk people are really nice here. We were going to arrive late and asked for late check in and they told us not to worry about it at all. After getting off the phone, I remember thinking that the hotel has excellent customer service.
When we arrived, the front desk person only spoke French. We basically communicated to each other buy hand gestures and expressions. Although we couldn’t communicate in the same language, the gestures were fine. We figured out where we could park and what information he needed to get checked in. Again, this person was super nice and patient about the entire process.
Our room was a little older looking but it was nice enough for a short stay. All I cared about was its cleanness, which it was. The beds were comfortable enough and I slept like a rock. There were absolutely no noise issues at all. The tv and internet worked too, though the internet was pretty slow.
The one major issue I had about this place was that our room’s bathroom were in two separate rooms. The shower room was pretty tight and as tall people, we had to kind of maneuver during our shower to not to hit the wall or curtains.
It was pretty cheap staying here. For the price, I didn’t mind that the shower was tight or the internet was a bit slow. It was definitely a great deal staying here since the hotel is located at the heart of town. You can easily walk to all the main attractions.
They don’t have a parking structure so you have to park your car about 5 – 10 minutes away from the hotel. It was about 8 E to park there for 24 hours. Not a bad deal.

Et impossible de revenir en arrière ! Donc cela fera doublon. Donc je répète: pas de clim, les murs de pierre me suffisent; réserver à l’avance sa situation au cœur de Nîmes en fait un emplacement privilégié d’autant que l’accueil y est sympathique et familial et les prix sont très honnêtes. Rien à voir avec les chaînés stéréotypées et c’est tant mieux. Mais que des 5, ça valait le coup !

Friendly staff, great prices, and a wonderful location in the historic center of Nimes make Acanthe du Temple Hotel a wonderful place to stay in town. I came here in 2007 and stayed for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and eager to practice their English, and were very helpful with giving tips on where to eat and shop in town, and about places to visit nearby, like Arles, Avignon, and the Pont du Gard. I would definitely stay here again if I could!
Je suis resté à cet hôtel il y a presque trois ans. Le personnel est sympa, les tarifs sont bons, et son lieu dans le centre de Nîmes est formidable. En outré, le personnel sait la ville et est savant des autres villes, comme Avignon, Arles, et le Pont du Gard. Si je pouvais rester ici encore une fois, je le ferais sans doute.

Mieux qu’un 3*
Un accueil super, une chambre ravissante avec toutes les commodités, bien mieux que certains 3* dans lesquels j’ai pu mettre les pieds ! Seul petit hic: pensez à réserver un emplacement de voiture en réservant car très peu de places disponibles !
