You are on your own if you don’t speak French here and in the city. It is a decent size town and I would expect some English is taught in school. A whole crowd of people but not a single one of them speaks English or offered help (but oh they like to stare). Not a tourist friendly town in my opinion. If you want to see a Colosseum, go to Rome.
