We traveled to Paris, Nice, Venice, Florence, and Rome and this was one of my favorite hotels we stayed in! It is in a perfect location, only a short block away from the beach. The staff were all accommodating and they had a nice lunch/patio area restaurant. I see some complaints from«busy season,» but we did not have any issues. However, we did vacation during the off season, in April. It was still 60s-70s there so not too many beach vacationing tourists there quite yet. I cannot fully elaborate on their upper pool deck on the roof, but we did walk up to it and the views were beautiful of the ocean and surrounding hills. I would definitely stay here again.

Pretty great, modern hotel with that Euro/French feel. Our room is great, overlooking the ocean and is one block off the Promenade de Anglais. You can see it from your room. This is a chain hotel, and not the boutique type I typically like to stay in abroad. Staff seems nice. The little garden and the restaurant look nice as well. We’re platinum elite Marriott people, and still don’t get free breakfast or coffee. Coffee machine for 2 euros in the lobby… Free wifi was the only perk here. We’ve had many beautiful stays in other Marriott properties around the world, with lots of nice extras. AC is an acquired part of the chain that doesn’t offer all those amenities; so if you’re looking for all that, you’re ot of luck. This place has been a haven for us because the previous couple of nights in Rome were a nightmare. The bed here is wonderful… and so is the shower. :)

Wow! I am surprised that the AC Hotel does not have better ratings here on Unilocal for during my recent stay, I found the staff to be outstanding, the room quite comfortable and the level of service very accommodating. Although I was a bit leery of staying at a chain hotel(something I rarely do when I visit Europe as I like the whimsy of European hotels) I settled for the AC as my first choice wasn’t available on the night is was going to be here. I was warmly greeted by the front desk staff and shown to my room which was a junior suite with a separate sitting area. They were out of sea view rooms so I had a city view room which basically had no view, but I liked that the windows opened to let in the fresh air. Also– there was no light by the desk work area so I called down to the front desk and my request for an additional lamp was quickly accommodated My suite was large with two flat screen TVs, a bathroom with excellent water pressure, air conditioning that worked, and plenty of toiletries, oversized towels, espresso coffee in the room and a very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and a warm duvet. There were two closets with plenty of storage, a safe in the room and free internet-pretty much anything you would want in a hotel. The price for this room was around $ 279e per night, but hey– I’m on vacation in the French Riviera! The only reason this was not a 5 star hotel experience for me was the location of the hotel. While located on the main promenade and close to the bus stop, it is at the far end of town with all the good restaurants and shopping areas a good walk(30 mins) away. Not a huge problem but there are other hotels more in the midst of things. But the best part of this hotel had to be the doorman whose name escapes me but who was so welcoming, so pleasant and quick with suggestions at places to go — he made me feel like I was a guest in his house. It was he who suggested I go to a certain restaurant where I got amazing service and food! All in all, a lovely experience on my trip to Nice. Definitely worth the money paid and I would return. Check it out on your next trip to Nice!

For a 4-star hotel that charges nearly 200 Euros a night during busy season, this was a complete and utter disappointment. Hell, it would have been a disappointment for a 2-star hotel charging 50 Euros a night. We were given a «newly renovated room with AC,» which was on a lower foor(so I was skeptical about where the location would be before I even saw it), but the receptionist promised us it was one of the better room. So apparently this is the definition of better rooms: — The windows look over an alley, and are also pleasantly located right over the garbage bay, so the lovely sound of bottles being thrown into garbage cans is your 6am alarm. — Some weird inexplicable sound occurs at random intervalls all day — one that I can only compare to a dying whale or to large pieces of furniture being moved right over your head. — The border on the shower area is so low you can only take a 10-minute shower before starting to flood the room. — The sink almost backs up every time you use it for no reason. After complaining about all of these things to reception, their only response was that 1) they had no idea what those sounds were, 2) there was nothing they could do to relocate us, and 3) they basically didn’t care enough to try and do anything else to make our stay better. I’ve never hated my stay anywhere more than here. And I’ve stayed in some crappy hostels in my poor student days.
