Carrefour Express

Great neighborhood grocer with fresh, local eats, expansive rose’ collection and the freshest baguettes. Perfect spot to stock up on snacks, wine and nibbles.

This is our corner grocery store near our apartment and we make daily stops for wine, butter, eggs, baguettes, cheese, cream and whatever else one might need for daily staples. We have to love it because it so convenient. This formerly was a Huit à 8, but my understanding is that Carrefour and Huit à 8 had merged years ago. I guess they are just getting around to changing the name. However, we did notice a change in configuration and products. The Huit offered a little more variety and had the rotisserie chicken outside constantly going with the aroma wafting. They still offer rotisserie chicken, but it is now inside. Of course, they now offer a lot more of the Carrefour brand products too.
