Intimate little spot with a nice patio area. If you’re particular about sitting either indoors or outdoors, I’d recommend a reservation. Service was top-notch; equally attentive and friendly to myself, who tried desperately to get along in broken French, and my partner, who did not. Many of the ingredients are local, or organic, or red-label(French designation relating to higher standards in meat production), but even the nameless house wine is quite good! The only trouble you’re likely to run into is deciding which fabulous roast meat to order. The duck was sumptuous, and perfectly cooked. Writing this review after the fact, I forget which dish my partner ordered — pork, I think? — but the taste I had was excellent as well. Recommended or everyone aside from vegetarians and the most cost-conscious among you; it’s not overpriced, but quality doesn’t come cheap.

Simply Amazing! one of our best dinners while in Europe. When you get there just sit back relax order a bottle of wine and let them take care of your meal for you. You can’t go rong from appetizer to desert. We ordered the Porterhouse for two it was simply amazing, have never had a steak cooked to perfection. We cannot wait to visit Nice again to be able to visit Chez Fabien.

A great night out. Ambience: Small quaint place with limited seating in and out, but worth the wait which should be no more than 30 mins. You’ll be sure to meet interesting people here and come away with a story of a great night out. Service: Really, really friendly staff. They are all best friends and clearly love what they do. Being a small place means you really get to know them and they are not too stressed out to spare time to explain anything you may want to know. Food: A meat-lovers dream, but there are good salad options as well. I went with friends and we loved it so much we came back a few nights later to try other dishes. The prix fixe is a good option which is plenty to eat but I wouldn’t suggest you have a salad and main course like my friend did unless you are a rugby player getting off a 6 month diet. I tried the guinea hen on one occasion and duck on another. Both were cooked perfectly. The sides are unusual and very tasty. Good selection of wines and aperitifs(some of which are in-house creations). Price: 20 – 40 euro depending on how much you eat and what wines you get. I am so glad we found this hidden gem. It really was a highlight of my stay in Nice.

I’m only writing this on my honor to Vinny — otherwise I’d work to keep it a secret. First thing’s first, he’s the absolute man! Chez Fabien has to be a meat-lover’s dream. We ordered the Cote De Beuof Menu. Even so, the impressive experience starts with the bread alone — which is baked by the bakery down the street. Crunchy and chewy, you can taste the yeast and grain working together. The butter was sourced from a local farm and mixed with sea salt — luxurious. Appetizers was home-made pâté, with pickles and cured sausage. The pâté was different than I normally eat in the states — and you can tell it is home-made — but it was delicious all the same. Larger pieces of meat and a fresher feel overall. For entrée we had the whole 800mgs of steak done rare. It came out just right — juicy and particularly fatty. A dish to go to the gym for, and be well worth it. Last, for dessert we had an espresso, and small servings of crème brûlée, fresh fruit and a chocolate(which was very well balanced). Overall one of the best meals and service I’ve had, full stop.

We had an amazing night. We booked for 2130 for 6 but when we got there the people hadn’t left the table yet. We were fine to hang out and chat but were very happy to be surprised with a glass of champagne each to make our wait nicer :) Chez Fabien is all about the meat. I don’t eat much meat but was happy to see a gorgeous farmers chicken on the menu as I do eat chicken. 4 of the 6 chose the Cote de boeuf which is charged by wait(they share a beef rib between 2 so 2 for the table in total). They would not stop raving about it! My chicken was lovely and the homemade chips are great too. Also enjoyed the panisse I stole off my husband ;) They also have great wine options and advised us well. I shared a chocolate fondant with a friend for dessert which was lovely and gooey. I recommend going but be sure to book !
