The hotel is a distance away from the town center, but it’s right off the Virgil Barel light rail stop, so not too hard to find if you prefer using public transport. If you’re driving, they have secure parking for a nominal fee(under € 7 I think). The hotel is modern, clean and functional. The front door is buzzer controlled by the front desk. The reception looks like nothing though, so you’re not going to have place to lounge around in a lobby, if you like doing that. The front desk folks are quite helpful though, and can or make a reasonable effort to communicate in English. The room was large. We were three of us, two on a double bed and I took the single. Comfortable, clean and roomy. Bathroom was clean, but no shower curtain. There is also a nice little balcony with seating(and an ashtray — didn’t make much of a difference to my life but thank you anyway) and a nice view of some hills. Get your free wifi password from the front desk, it works very well and is not on a per device basis. Of course, having to enter an annoyingly meaningless password can never be fun. Breakfast is alright. Fresh fruit, baked goods, cereals, eggs, meats, cheese. Cheap. So really, you get what you pay for. What’s wrong with it? There’s not much around rue de Roquebiliere, except a grocery store, which is quite the saving grace. There are a couple of restaurants if you’re up for a hike, but mostly avoidable.
