Amazing restaurant up the hills between Nice and Villefranche-sur-Mer. Main focus is charcoal grilled meat. When you make reservations, you choose between chicken, lamb or beef. All very good and tasty! Really large portions on wood plates. Excellent garlic bread. Starters are a combination of various vegetables(sweet tomatoes to die for), pates and burrata/dips! To the meat you can choose between baked potatoes, gratin, etc. Good selection of wines. You can only sit indoors and it is a truly authentic atmosphere! And for dessert, go for fresh fruit and berries with crème fraîche! Very pleasant and professional service. Highly recommended!

There’s no comparison to this charming, authentic fire-grilled restaurant. Though reservations are difficult to come by, frequency at the restaurant helps. When you reserve the table, you must reserve the number of chickens you’d like to consume during your visit. A helpful guide: 1 chicken/pair, 1 lamb/3 people, 1 steak/pair. I find a 9:30 start to be the best time and tables with a direct sightline to the main attraction: the grill. For starters don’t miss the supple burrata and tomatoes so sweet you’d bet the reserve euros you packed that the chef soaked them in sugar water, as well as the pâté with fresh grill marks(don’t run away from this as the charcoal gives the page a must needed foundation where the crunch to smooth ratio emits that exact feeling you’d expect from Paris’ L’Ami Louis foie gras). Chicken, lamb, beef. Must do them all. Why not? Request Dijon for the chicken. Don’t pass on the grilled potatoes. You will find delight with salt and ask for Crème fraîche. You’re welcome. For dessert, double espresso(you’re near Cannes aren’t you?!), fresh fruit, berries and the huge pot of Crème fraîche so beautiful you will for sure photograph it(smile enthusiastically and the waitstaff won’t mind. Don’t use a flash … Come on). It’s beyond memorable. Call now. //foodpaparazzi

This is the most incredible restaurant. I wait all year to finally go back every summer, and it can’t come soon enough. The prosciutto, melon, grilled bread, butter, eggplant, and other starters are all just amazing, but once the steak arrives on the signature thick wooden blocks your whole table will fall silent until every last delicious morsel is gone. I don’t know how to describe it except for the best steak I have ever had.

I still think about this place quite often. I was in Cap Ferrat for the summer and one night we dined here. The chicken, the steak, the dessert — it was all delicious. Giant pot of crème, oh and the garlic bread. Wow, that’s the best bread I’ve ever had in my life hands down. Will be thinking about this place till I end up in France again.
