Attractive, recently completed and calm interior drew my attention and motivated me to call them for take out, but that’s about the only thing going for this place. You get very little sushi for a heck of a lot of money, and not even great quality or variety. I ordered take out sushi for two(24 *tiny* pieces) and it barely fed one. I’m no sushi expert, but I’ve eated perhaps more than my fair share, and the best places always have red tuna meat. This tuna meat looked a weird shade of purplish/brown. I figured it was just a little too aerated, as it didn’t smell bad. But it also wasn’t that yummy either. The seaweed salad, on the other hand tasted seriously old, so we spat it out and threw away the rest for fear of getting ill. An order of 4(very petite) teriyaki skewers rounded out our meal for just a hair shy of 50 euros. I paid with my visa card and owner complained about the fees connected with taking credit cards. In retrospect I figure he wouldn’t have to worry about fees if he had any amount of volume. Wasabi and picked ginger portion included with the meal was super skimpy. There was about as much wasabi for both of us as I normally put on ONE piece of sushi, and barely enough ginger for two little pinches with the chopsticks. Maybe I overdo it a little with wasabi in general, but it was nowhere near enough to stretch for 24 pieces, even if they were tiny pieces. If you’re going to order sushi in the Old Port neighborhood, I recommend the place on Rue Theodore Gasiglia near Nice TNL(it doesn’t show up on Google’s map and I forget the name of the place). I think there’s also a place called Yama right near the port itself, but I haven’t tried it yet so can’t comment on it.
