Great time tasting wines from the casks and barrels. We love Pascal Marchand’s wines for how well made they are as well as the elegance and finesse. We tasted several reds from the 2012 and 2013 vintages. One white from 2012– great! Can’t wait to be able to buy some.

It was a white Burgundy that made me believe I liked white wine. Ever since then, Burgundy has changed the way I looked at wine period. Pascal Marchand is another in the long line of greats that makes wine one of those pleasurable things in life but also makes you crazy that the level of what you can spend can be ratcheted up astronomically. Clos des ormes 2010, isn’t cheap but isnt too pricey either. If you like wine you’ll know where your money went. The balance of weight, floral, acid, fruit, and minerality are well kept here. A beautiful red that expresses what Burgundy wines are about with the ability to stand alone or paired with many complex spiced foods.
