La Terrasse du Grand Large

If you spend vacation in the area and don’t feel like going into the very centre of the Palavas-​les-​Flots, this restaurant is a good choice. The beach is very near and the salty air adds a nice zest to almost every Mediterranean meal served here. Of course, the Moulles are the classic and you will not make mistake ordering them. However the fish served here are perfect. The wines are a bit more pricey then in the average seaside restaurant but they offer a good varieties with AOC labels. The servers were very friendly and helpful (having patience with us, foreign tourist breed). The only little disappointment was crème brule — I have eaten better ones, even out of France. Sitting on the street under a little Caribbean-​looking umbrella/​shed is must, however I peeked inside and the interior was pleasant and inviting too.
