Horrible! I have played poker all over the world and thought this would be a highlight of all those experiences.
Firstly, you have to pay a € 100 membership fee that only runs the calendar year no matter when you purchase it. Secondly, they collect € 20/​hr to play 2/​4NLH! The action was slightly above average but the play wasn’t soft either. It is virtually impossible to get out of this place with your shirt on.
Worse yet, non-​French people are treated like third class customers and they make up the rules as they go along to favor natives/​locals. Unreal! An Aussie was first to act and says «okay» as-​in «okay, here’s what I’m going to bet …» (No hand motion at all) and the little beret wearing frenchie quickly checks behind. Aussie challenges this and the floor rules that because there was no person playing after the frenchie that action had ended for that street.
Another funny is if you bet out of turn and someone who had yet to act before you then folds, you can take your bet down or change it to higher number! I couldn’t believe gravity was holding my seat to the floor when I saw that happen (and confirmed again by a different floor manager and two other dealers.)
If you plan on being thirsty while playing, please call at least one day ahead to place your order with the ancient valet, he should be right on time with a piss warm beverage.
AVOID!

L’aviation Club, je m’y suis rendue quelques fois avec mes amis férus de poker depuis un grand nombre d’années et qui se mettent maintenant à faire de grands tournois. Alors oui, on frime, on se montre (surtout quand on gagne!), mais ça fait parti du jeu ! L’ambiance est vraiment bonne avec l’adrénaline qui monte lorsque l’un sort sa carte, ou le petit moment d’attente qui semble durer une éternité…
Je suis fan des casinos, j’y passé beaucoup de temps, j’aime cette tension qui règne, ce mélange d’anxiété et de plaisir, de joie et de déception. Tout ça mélangé avec une bonne bande de copains pro, un vrai régale ! (je vous avoue quelque chose: dans ces soirées, j’encourage plus que je né joue, ou j’attends au bar très accessible au niveau des prix).
À défaut d’avoir des casinos à Paris, l’Aviation Club est là !

Si vous avez quelques sous à perdre ou l’espoir d’en gagner un peu, l’Aviation Club de France est le lieu de débauche qu’il vous faut. Vous y croiserez beaucoup d’étrangers, frimeurs et prétentieux mais qu’importe, on est là avant tout pour jouer, donc pour s’amuser !
La spécialité est bien sur le poker, dans «l’air du temps» comme dirait Nina Ricci.
Bluff, call, fold, all in, autant de mots que vous entendrez en boucle pour votre plus grand plaisir.
Il est à noté que le prix du bar n’est pas excessif malgré l’endroit, donc possibilité de boire à moindre coup… moindre coût pardon !
