Banette Ammy

Walking towards the Metro, we were stopped by the smell that wafted from this bakery. We hadn’t had breakfast yet and it was nearing lunch so we opted to get some food here before our excursions for the day. The very sweet lady spoke manageable English, but for our non-​French-​speaking, it was easy enough to point to what they wanted. She didn’t pretend to not understand our French either which we noticed with many people we encountered when we tried to communicate. She was very friendly and helpful.
They have coffee and lots of pastries available. After 10AM they have a variety of sandwiches as well. We came once too early and wasn’t able to grab some for a picnic later in the day =(There is bar seating inside for 4 people and a few small tables outside.
For our stay, this was definitely our favorite neighborhood bakery. All the pastries were light and flaky. Ingredients were not skimpy. And everything brought to you with a generous smile.
