Bastille Burger

2e et dernière fois à déjeuner avec des collègues. Viande de boeuf avec un arrière gout, une première fournée de frites trop cuites, la 2e pas assez, et une impression générale de saleté. .
Nous étions venus à l’ouverture du café en espérant que ça allait s’arranger, hé bien là, c’est terminé, on n’y remettra plus les pieds, surtout avec de supers restaus à burger qui fourmillent dans le quartier…

Awful.
From the dirty countertops and the uncleaned grill to the precooked chicken in pans by the window. This place screamed sketchy even before I ordered. My wife warned me, «you sure you want to do this»?
But I went ahead and ordered the Bastille Burger. After all, I was getting 30% off the 9 euro price because it was take out! Yeh, I’m an idiot.
The bottom line:
The French fries were refried. They weren’t crispy and didn’t taste fresh.
The burger meat did not taste fresh.
The bread was so stale that l was forced to remove it and replace it with a baguette after one bite.
I asked for bacon which was half a Euro extra but that was like putting lipstick on a pig. And their bacon is not what I had in mind. It was more like a slice of soft packaged pork product.
Well, lesson learned.
My wife says, «it is almost blasphemous to have a bad meal in Paris». Forgive my transgressions in the name of Unilocal
