Bateaux Parisiens

This is not a tourist trap, at least in my opinion. My wife and I had a wonderful experience on Christmas night. The boat itself was much classier than I expected, and had full glass windows with exquisite views of the city. Service was quite pleasant, especially considering that it was Christmas and I’m sure the staff would have rather been doing anything but working. The food was surprisingly very good and very typical French: escargots, foie gras, duck, cheese course, macarons. There was live music, which consisted of multiple vocalists and a violinist — and they were quite talented. The launch site was right at the base of the Eiffel Tower, so what night view could be better?

BEWARE! Do not –I repeat, do not– opt for the «Privilege» boat dinner. It was the worst money I’ve ever spent on fine dining.
«Prawns» that look like frozen convenience store shrimp, cold scallops, disgusting soup, rock hard bread and cheap wine… These are the treasures that await you after wasting hundreds of dollars on a complete tourist trap.

This is one of my favorite things to do in Paris! Go straight to the riverside ticket area on the docks and confirm your cruise time. Depending on crowds there could be a bit of a wait. If you have a time gap it is pretty to walk along the river walk and there are food and drink vendors as well as restrooms. As your cruise time approaches go get in line to board. The order in line determines your order boarding and therefore seat selection. Go straight through and up the stairs to the top deck as it has the best views and a nice breeze on a sunny day. The river cruise is a great way to see the Seine bridges and many landmarks like Notre Dame. It is beautiful to take your cruise at sunset or even at night and see the city lights. The cruise only takes about an hour and is definitely worth doing!
Transportation Tip: The Metro stop Pont del l’Alma is close by.

We just went to Paris on our honeymoon. Having never been to the city before, we took the advice to go on a sunset river cruise one night.
The staff was kind and helpful, but out of a week of wonderful, fun experiences, this was our one real disappointment.
It’s a river cruise, so, not shockingly, the food is pretty boring and bad. It was the worst meal we had all week.
However, that we were prepared for. What surprised us was how boring the ride was. It was hard to see the city from inside the boat (it was lightly raining and cold outside). The boat was almost empty, so we asked to sit by a window. We were told that would cost extra. From where we sat, the light was too bright to really see outside.
Truly, we had better sunset tours of the city every other evening by just being outside and walking or standing atop the Pompidou.
Do not waste your money on this tour. Instead, get a hot chocolate from Angelina’s and walk along the Seine. Then, use the money you saved to start planning your next trip to this exquisite city.

I wanted to take the beau on a different perspective of Paris on our last night there. He’s not huge in to sight seeing, but I think Paris is arguably even more beautiful at night. So although this is painfully touristy, its definitely a cute way to spend time with your loved ones while you’re here.
I upgraded to the service «privilege» because I wanted to get a guaranteed good seat by the window :)
SERVICE
Our waiter was very kind and we both liked him, but honestly he was overworked. I counted he must have had around 15 tables, all in different parts of their meal. It’s really just too much considering how difficult it is for them to get to the kitchen. This lead to a lot of times where food was cold, or we’d be sitting in the dark (keep reading) for minutes on end. But he was busting his ass and I felt terrible for him.
Also…so annoying but our light went out THREE times. It was really, really bizarre and we were the only ones who had this problem. When you sit next to the window, there’s no overhead lighting so without these you’re essentially sitting in the dark. Its kind of a mood kill.
FOOD
Scallop starter– this could have been good but they weren’t seared! How can you make a scallop not seared? :(Also, ours were cold when we received them. The flavors were good though.
Sea Bass– thought this was OKAY. Not bad, not great. I’d recommend the beef fillet.
Beef Fillet– FULL of flavor, hot and delightful! This was easily the best part of the meal and I totally recommend it. It comes with some roasted potato thing that I thought was forgettable, but the beef was on point! Yum.
Dessert– cute assortment of desserts. Not bad not great.
WINE
Everyone starts off with a sparkling wine for a toast. Then you have a glass of white with your starter and then… a bottle of red.
They give you a whole bottle… A WHOLE BOTTLE. Which I clearly took as some sort of challenge (oops) but it was SO yummy I couldn’t help myself. Everyone enjoyed all of their wines, and my least favorite was likely the champagne starter.
All in all, I’m still happy we did it as he agreed Paris looks AMAZING along the Seine. I was definitely bummed about the food and light for the money that was paid but I guess what can you expect from a tourist attraction? :)

Féerique, c’est un superbe endroit! Un service au top! Le staff est vraiment professionnel! Rien a redire! Les plats servis sont excellents et les plats de résistance arrive chauds! Belle présentation pour chacune des assiettes! On se sent dans un autre monde! Soirée inoubliable!

The only thing good on this cruise was the view even in the rain, the food for the price terrible you would be better picking up a «royal with cheese» and going on a less expensive cruise,
The waiter was very slow in bring our dinner and the wine that comes with the cruise was not good at all and if you didn’t like the wine you had to pay a up charge for anything else.
I wanted this to be a great night for my wife for her birthday, although she was happy to be just on the cruise and she loved seeing everything so
like said in the beginning the view was the only thing good on this cruise.

There are plenty of boat options for taking a dinner cruise down the Seine, but Bateaux Parisiens is the most English friendly (heck, I think our server knew Spanish pretty well too). It may be a bit pricier than other options, but booking online was a breeze. Even though it says to bring an ID and your ticket printed out, you should be ok with just your confirmation number (I had a screenshot of my email ticket on my phone and that worked).
I didn’t go for the premium seating, but as this was a weekday we were lucky and didn’t have anyone seated to my right so we had a little space around us. Our server was a nice guy, but overall the service is very disorganized. The couple next to us received their appetizer before we even were able to order. On the reverse side, we got our photos taken by the boat photographer, but when the lady next to us asked for their photo the photographer said she’d wait until they were done with their current course. It just felt oddly disjointed when the people right next to us are at a completely different point of the meal.
The tour was great, and instead of commentary on the sights we were treated to a couple of live singers. The food itself was fine — not super memorable but good. Photos were a bit pricy at 20 euros each, but we ended up getting one anyway for the memories.
The BP dinner cruise is definitely more of a special occasion kind of expense and not one you would do just because you were in town and wanted to see the sights. Of course, I came away from my trip with a new fiancé, but I can’t guarantee that these are usual results.

What a beautiful night. My only complaint is the dress code specified no jeans or sporty shoes or sneakers. We went out of our way to make sure we brought dress clothing and shoes just for these 3 hours. At check in a party of 4 not well dressed all in sneakers and jeans was let on board!
Other than that– our evening was fantastic. The service was ok-​took long time to get bitter for bread and hardly any wine poured by steward. We helped ourselves as we had paid $$$$ for premium experience with upgraded wines and special window seating. The singer was wonderful and the pianist was good too. They even sang happy birthday to us. I wax surprised that we had to pay for two birthday presentations. It worked out for us as our two birthdays were 2 days apart. But sort of weird request and it costs more!
The ambiance wax terrific. Unfortunately, we didn’t know you could go outside to see icons and take pictures. My son figured it out at the end when the Eiffel Tower lit up and he was exploring after dinner. Hard to take pictures be if glass reflection.
Food is haute French

I went on a dinner cruise with my father and my lady critter. I can’t speak to the price since my father paid for it.
Pros:
+ Food was tasty
+ Service was timely
+ We were able to reschedule our reservation to a different day with no problems
Cons:
+ Tasteless, poorly-​performed music that was too loud for us to have a conversation
+ Portions were teeny tiny. I got the feeling they were trying to stuff us with cheap bread so we wouldn’t notice the lack of actual food.

We did the Sunday brunch cruise. Brunch is served at a restaurant on the pier and included a boat tour. It was a rainy day but we decided to do it anyway. The brunch was mediocre, the food was cold, and there were birds flying around the restaurant… but the boat cruise was nice. We were able to see a lot of cool things like the love lock bridge and Notre Dame Cathedral. I would definitely do the boat cruise again, but would probably skip the brunch.

Highlight of trip! We selected the 6pm dinner cruise (9 too late for us and it was dark enough to see city lights halfway back) and the food was so much better than anticipated on a boat. The boat was beautiful — all glass. Definitely the most attractive of the boats available. Waiters were very entertaining and spoke English well. For us, it was also convenient to get from our hotel, since it started from Eiffel Tower. At 89e a piece for a window table it was totally worth it since you get a great dinner with a wonderful cruise.

My husband and I took the 1 hour night sightseeing tour.
Pros: great view of the city and though we have been walking along the river for days it had quite a different feel and was very romantic even though we were on a boat full of strangers
Cons: the commentary was lacking on clear description of what buildings they were talking about and some of the comments could have been more detailed to give a deeper history of Paris
We will probably take a cruise every time we return but try some of the more unique and romantic cruises we passed along the river.

Did a sightseeing cruise with this company when we were in Paris. It was a good experience. Got to cruise the Seine river, and view many of the attractions of Paris from a different angle and perspective.

Not sure if I would take this sightseeing cruise again. Maybe we would try a dinner cruise in the future. If it is your first time in Paris, then I think that it is worth taking this sightseeing cruise. Once you’ve done it, then no need to do it again.

We had a great river cruise tour for 1.5 hours. It was nice seeing all the sights with a different perspective. Everything seemed much more grandiose.
They have cruises very often so it wasn’t very crowded. The commentary was nice, especially since we hadn’t done any official tours so we appreciated some factual information.
We didn’t go on a cocktail or dinner cruise so I can’t comment on the food.

I could go 3.5 stars. We booked the nighttime one hour tour that departed from Notre Dame in order to see the city lights. The boat was clean, the staff was fine. It was a bit difficult to hear the narration. Because it was a cold rainy night the boat was not crowded. We saw everything we wanted and the city at night is quite beautiful.
The 3.5 stars is because the boat ride was fine but nothing special. I think the dinner cruise probably would have been better. Also, when I bought the tickets the agent shorted me 50 Euro, a mistake I caught before I left, and it probably was just an honest mistake but it made me wonder if he thought I would not notice because the currency is foreign to me. We got the right change in the end.

This is a tough review to write. There are a number of pros and cons.
Pros: The check in staff was very polite. The boat was clean and very well maintained. The tour passes many landmarks and offers a unique view of the culture along the river.
Cons: They played American Christmas music the entire time. No, not kidding. This was July. I pointed it out to a server who chortled and giggled profusely and walked away. You get the serious feeling they’re trying to «prank» the diners.
Our server was very slow. He seemed to completely forget about us, even though we had paid for an upgraded table. Our dessert wasn’t served until after his other tables around us had finished. We weren’t offered coffee until we docked and other diners were already departing!
The manager was swimming around but impossible to flag down– as we tried numerous time.
All in all my impression is that the company is trying their best, but their client facing staff is poorly managed.
Christmas music? Coffee after docking? Unfortunately we wouldn’t use then again. There are other dinner cruise options.

This was one of my favorite dinners of all-​time. The only downfall is that you’re sitting at tables with other people-​but despite all that it was romantic and fun because it’s what you make of it. I’ll be sure to plan this again on my next trip to Paris!

We went on a night time city tour boat ride in the middle of the winter. Yes, it is touristy, but the views and photo ops were spectacular! Dress warm, and relax, enjoy the ride. Take pictures. I will take visitors in the future– no need to get tickets ahead, just walk up and buy for the next cruise!

j’y ai déjeuné deux fois, certes ce n’est pas donné, mais ça vaut le coup! Le menu est très bon ainsi que le service et la musique, une belle balade sur la Seine, inoubliable!

My friends and I did this cruise during our trip in Paris but did the non-​dinner cruise. This cruise came at no charge to us as it was included in our Paris Pass. If you have a Paris Pass, do not skip this boat cruise!
It’s about an hour long, departing from the dock just below the Eiffel Tower. Very relaxing and let’s you see all the sites from a new perspective. I really enjoyed this as we did it towards the end of our time in Paris and has already visited the sites. Seeing Notre Dame, Musee d’Orsay, Musee de Louvre, etc from the water in a different scale was truly cool. Plus I saw some sites I would have never seen or known about it my time there. We went under some absolutely stunning bridges, for example, that we wouldn’t have seen from the land or at least got the perspective we did.
The boat is covered which was nice for us as it was a rainy, cold day when we set sail. There is an outside terrace way if you’d like to take in the sites outside though. There is a strange little contraption you hold up to your ear to hear commentary about the sites you’re passing. I appreciated that greatly as I love having audio tours like that and learning a bit about new sites.

Une chouette heure de bonheur et de détente pour 12 euros afin de se remémorer que, oui, Paris est la plus belle ville du monde. Mais pourquoi né l’ai je pas fait avant?

Prestation de bonne qualité accueil et orientation des clients très bien soirée très agréable avec ambiance musical pendant le repas. Idéal pour repas en amoureux avec table pour deux le menu était très bon. Promenade sur la Seine avec vu sur tout les monuments de la capital seul petit bémol que personne né nous indique au micro les monuments devant laquelle on passé surtout la nuit car pas simple de se repérer

Arnaque et mépris
La Seine étant haute, les bateaux né passent sous les ponts. La croisière le long des plus beaux monuments parisiens se révèle faire un tour entre 2 ponts. L’arnaque est qu’il n’est pas proposé une autre date ou du moins avertir de ce contre-​temps sachant que cela dure depuis plusieurs jours, voire plusieurs semaines… Le mépris est que même les serveurs font semblant de né pas savoir que ce n’est pas la visite prévue et qu’un message envoyé au site, pour faire part de la déception, est resté sans réponse. Le dîner était correct sans plus, dîner pour touriste juste convenable. L’attrait n’étant pas le dîner mais la croisière.

Excellente soirée très bien organisée
J’avais pu réservé et organiser la soirée à l’avance: entrée, plat et surtout le dessert qui était un gâteau pour notre anniversaire de mariage. Arrivé sur site, rien à faire, on s’est annoncé et tout s’est dérouler comme sur la troteuse d’une montre, 1 vin par plat différent, le service excellent et Mme n’a rien vu venir concernant les musiques demandée et le gâteau, un vrai régal, un rêve que l’on se souvient encore dans les moindre détails. Nous avions pris le service Premier, un peu cher certes, mais un service et un emplacement sans rien à redire.

Hé ouais, on peut être parisien et prendre un bateau de touristes ! Avec des billets gratuits… on a moins honte de dire qu’on a été sur la Seine à écouter les commentaires et les gros clichés sur les parisiens dans toutes les langues…
Bön, le petit tour d’une heure va jusqu’à l’île Saint-​Louis en partant de la Tour Eiffel et les principaux monuments y sont présentés avec quelques infos que j’ignorais, saviez vous que la flèche de la cathédrale Notre-​Dame a été rajoutée par Viollet le Duc ?
Bön, pour quelqu’un qui découvre Paris, c’est sympa mais il est vrai qu’on se moque toujours un peu des touristes dans son pays alors qu’on fait pareil à l’étranger… ou presque.
Mince, j’ai pas acheté le super DVD à 15 € !

À faire au moins une fois dans sa vie même si effectivement cela peut fait ultra touristique
En fait on passé un agréable moment de redécouvrir Paris et ses secrets: Paris reste magique en somme et nous restons émerveillés même si nous la connaissons
Alors vous avez la version croisière simple qui dure 1h et on visite les points essentiels des quais de seine
Et ensuite vous avez la ballade avec repas. Beaucoup plus romantique. Surtout en soirée

Très bonne soirée passée sur les bateaux parisiens, à faire au moins une fois, le service et l’accueil sont irréprochables, et la qualité des plats l’est tout autant ! J’aime !

Une promenade sur la Seine qui nous permet de voir quelques beaux monuments Parisiens. C’est vraiment un bon moment.

J’ai pu tester leur service l’année dernière, cela fait plus de dix ans que j’habite en banlieue parisienne et je n’avais jamais fait de tour sur la Seine. Et bien c’est chose faite !
J’ai fait le tour de base, une «croisière promenade», 12 euros le tour d’une durée d’une heure. On redécouvre avec plaisir la magnifique architecture des monuments parisiens, et surtout d’un nouvel oeil !
La société «bateaux parisiens» gère de belles installations assez modernes, tous les bateaux né sont pas forcément «modernes» mais ils né sont pas trop bruyants. On nous proposent une visite commentée sous 13 langues, cependant il faudra mettre les gros casques pour vraiment tout suivre, personnellement j’en ai eu marre après les 10 premières minutes, j’ai préféré laisser de coté les écouteurs pour me concentrer sur la vue et les architectures :)
Vraiment pas déçu par cette société, une chose est sûre c’est que j’y reviendrai un jour pour faire une croisière dîner et vue de Paris by night … au vu de la carte, les menus proposés sont très intéressants, à tester !
Petits plus: le parking gratuit sur le quai pendant toute la durée de votre promenade ! Et ça roule bien, donc pas de temps d’attente.

A faire quand on est à Paris et que l’on veut visiter sans trop se fatiguer. Agréable quand il fait beau, les commentaires se font par un cd. C’est très ludique et très enrichissant même quand on est parisien ! A faire également avec son chéri ou sa chérie !

Croisière promenade sur les bateaux parisiens ou le syndrome Pepsi versus Coca quand nos invités de Province ont eu la naïveté de demander à la jeune guichetière: C’est bien ici l’entrée pour les bateaux-​mouches? .
Non, ici ce sont les bateaux PARISIENS, mais c’est la même chose !, nous a-​t-​elle répondu, un poil tendue, certainement lassée de devoir justifier son existence de challenger à longueur de journée face à son principal rival dont le nom est quasiment tombé dans le langage courant
Mais c’est vrai qu’une fois à bord, c’est kif-​kif bourricot: Pour 12 euros par personne on a droit à une heure pétante de navigation sous 21 ponts de Paris, rangés comme des petits pois en cosses sur des strapontins rouges, soit sous une voûte de Plexiglas, soit au plein air, selon l’affluence, votre place dans la file d’attente et la clémence de Râ, d’Eole ou de Tlaloc.
Ce jour là, quels que soient leurs noms, les Dieux de la météo ont été cléments sur toute la ligne: Grand bleu, soleil, pas de vent, et place de choix à l’extérieur, au 1er rang (merci au Dieu des genoux fragiles dont j’ai oublié le nom). Situation idéale pour profiter du panorama et pour admirer tous les monuments de Paris au son des ritournelles éraillées de Montant, Piaf, ou Aznavour qui tournent en boucle dans les amplis en fredonnant tous les charmes de notre belle Capitale, des trémolos dans la voix. C’est très joli et romantique pendant une heure de navigation, mais petite pensée quand même pour l’équipage en fin de journée
De solides audiophones multilingues en forme de pommeau de douche métallique prennent régulièrement le relais de l’hôtesse de bord pour commenter la grande ou la petite histoire des principaux ponts et édifices, mais comme chacun sait, Paris né s’est pas fait en un jour, alors la raconter en une heure relève de la gageureA peine une esquisse digne du Paris Touristique pour les nuls, mais l’essentiel est dit: Il faut faire un vœu et gros un bisou à son (sa) chéri (e) sous le pont Marie pour qu’il se réalise et que ça porte bonheur.
Bref, une jolie promenade idéale pour épater tous ceux qui né sont jamais venus à Paris et qui veulent en prendre plein les mirettes en 60 minutes chronoMais aussi pour ces deux fashion-​victim japonaises d’une vingtaine d’années, aux lèvres déjà siliconées, tellement préoccupées à se mitrailler numériquement sous toutes les coutures toutes les deux secondes qu’elles n’ont même pas pris le temps de profiter du paysage Il faudrait suggérer au cap’tain de passer de temps en temps Les épices du souk du Caïre de Bénabar dans la programmation musicale (quoi que ça m’étonnerait qu’il ait fait une version nippone).

Mitigée…
Oui, le service est plutôt bon (je peux même dire trés agréable si je me base sur notre serveur). Oui, c’est beau de diner avec une lumière tamisée sur la Seine le soir. Mais non, le repas né veut pas le prix. Non, ce n’est pas romantique. Même placés comme nous l’étions prés de la vitre sur une table de deux. C’est bruyant, plein de touristes ‘flasheurs’. Alors, je dirai «A faire avec des amis étrangers pour la ‘french touch’, et des amis que vous aimez beaucoup parceque 115 euros par personne, ça commence à faire…

Die Dinner-​Kreuzfahrt mit Bateaux Parisiens ist zwar nicht ganz billig, aber ein absolutes MUSS für Parisreisende und einen superromantischen Abend. Wunderschönes Ambiente, ein tolles Essen mit leckeren Weinen, entspannte Live-​Musik plus die Fahrt an den Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt vorbei in die Abenddämmerung hinein … formidable!

Aux pieds de la Tour Eiffel, sur le port de la Bourdonnais, la société Bateaux Parisiens dispose d’un emplacement exceptionnel pour appâter les touristes.
Au ponton numéro 5, on embarque pour une croisière d’une heure (aller-​retour) sur la Seine à la découverte des monuments parisiens qui bordent le fleuve. Le petit plus de cette société par rapport à son concurrent Bateaux Mouche, c’est qu’il y a un guide (un être humain) présent sur le bateau pour faire des commentaires et répondre aux questions des passagers. Pour les explications plus exhaustives, chaque siège dispose d’un audio-​guide avec une possibilité de commentaire en treize langues.
Pendant la saison d’été, il y a également un départ qui s’effectue sur le quai de Montebello, vers Notre-​Dame. Et là, on n’embarque pas sur un trimaran mais sur un petit bateau d’une soixantaine de places. C’est plus convivial et on peut vraiment échanger avec le guide. Par contre, à cet emplacement les départs sont moins fréquents.
Il existe 4 sociétés de croisières fluviales à Paris, et Bateaux Parisiens est pour moi la mieux car elle investit sur l’humain et non pas sur une automatisation qui fait piège à touristes et grosses boîte à fric.

J’y suis allée deux fois pour le déjeuner et j’ai aimé. Le service, l’ambiance (musique peut-​être un peu forte).
Le service étoile est le mieux je pense car mieux placé.

Par beau temps et hors période estivale
Version croisière commentée pour ma part: à peu près une heure de balade sur la Seine avec un départ sous la Tour Eiffel, demi-​tour autour de l’Île Saint Louis et retour au point d’embarquement. L’astuce (par beau temps): se mettre sur latéralement (face au quai gauche ou droit) pour une meilleure visibilité des monuments. Le bémol: une vente omniprésente: DVD ou livres sur Paris pendant la dernière partie de la croisière et photo à l’arrivée sur le quai… de bonne qualité, mais tout de même ! Les commentaires sont cousu main et… pratiquement inutiles pour un Français.

La compagnie des bateaux parisiens proposent des croisières en bateau sur la Seine. En faisant une simple excursion, ou en déjeunant ou dînant, en couple, en famille ou entre amis, vous pourrez (re)découvrir Paris au fil de l’eau, de la statue de la liberté française à la BNF, en passant forcément par la Tour Eiffel, les Invalides, le Louvre et Notre-​Dame. Pour manger, il faut compter au gran minimum 60EUR par personnne, mais cette expérience en vaut le coût ! C’est magnifique et idéal pour fêter un evènement avec la famille. D’autant plus qu’il y a des musiciens qui accompagnent la croisière. Avis aux romantiques, c’est idéal aussi pour les dîners en amoureux! Et petit conseil: pensez à réserver un bon mois à l’avance, notamment en période de fêtes et pour les jours fériés!
