Bibliothèque Mouffetard Contrescarpe

This library in the Latin Quarter looked like a business office from outside because of the bare look. If you didn’t know what ‘bibliotheque’ means, you probably won’t know that it was a library and that it offered FREE WIFI!!!
My hostel did not have a wifi when I stayed in Paris, rather, it had computers that you rent out for very cheap. I had the pleasure of watching people — old people, kids, college kids — at this library while I update my family and friends about being alive half a world away. If you are staying longer in Paris, the library can set you up a card that you may use in order to access their internet, provided you show a valid passport. I was there for a short time so I believe I was given a password (I can’t remember, it wasn’t the main highlight of the trip).
Just a thought if you want to read or use the computer in case you didn’t bring your macbook/​iPhone, the bibliotheque has free wifi and computers you can use. :)

Une bibliothèque très bien fournie: que ce soit en romans classiques, en BD ou en usuels.
Au sous-​sol, les lectures divertissantes, au rez-​de-​chaussée les périodiques et les usuels et à l’étage la musique et la salle d’étude (souvent remplie).

Une bibliothèque de quartier sympa dans le quartier Mouffetard, accessible à tous. Etudiante dans le quartier, j’y allais souvent pour peaufiner mes recherches ou bouquiner tranquillement. Sympa.
