Boucherie Mouffetard

Well provisioned butcher shop for veal, beef, chicken, pork. Has a good selection of prepared items that are ready for oven heating. My apartment is 3 streets away. When I’m going to eat at home this is the butcher where I buy my viandes.
Only French spoken.

I can see why therer is a line here after the line at the bakery almost next door on Sunday mornings. Came here after smelling the goodies while waiting at the bakery. I couldn’t resist the alure of rotisserie chicken. Didn’t try the meats but the roast chicken was excellent. They had some veggies cooking the fat underneath but I was scared.
So if you’re in the hood you gotta check the bird out. I can see the appeal of this with the guy from Amelie. Bön Appetit.

This is one of the butchershops on the famous Rue Moufettard street market near the beautiful but rather neglected church of saint-​medard. Even though this is a butchershop they have a rotisserie in the front where they cook chicken and other delicious meats for sale. During our visit there last week we stopped here for a rotisserie chicken as well as a pork roulade. As expected from a shop on Rue Moufettard everything we bought from here was fantastic! The only thing we didn’t know was that the outdoor seating on this street market are all owned by restaurants and so they won’t let you eat food that you buy from these stores there. We had to go all the way back to our hotel to enjoy these but it was still so good I can’t wait to visit again.
