This little bakery was under my house. I used to live in the building adjacent to it. The best part of this bakery is that it opens earlier than the rest of the bakeries. I used to wake up at 6 to go to university and I was lucky enough to grab some breakfast that freshly came out of the oven. This bakery is really cheap! You can have breakfast for 1 – 3 euros only. Their signature piece is Pain Suisse for only € 1.20. If you were in the area you HAVE to try it. You won’t find something like it in other pastries. Usually you find a typical Choco Suisse which I honestly do not consider a sufficient breakfast for example. I am a foodie and love to eat, so if I want to have breakfast it needs to be of a proper portion so that I’ll be able to survive to lunch. The Pain Suisse is an upgraded more delicious version of the typical choco suisse. Moreover, their baguettes are amazing and they have tasty sandwiches(€ 5 – 7). During the afternoon you’ll find the tiny place packed and people standing in line. Their pastries are have a taste of home. They are close to what you grandma would make which is very rare to find nowadays.

This little place is right outside of the metro station at Pere Lachaise. I saw a line of people waiting to place their orders spilling out onto the sidewalk so I figured it must be good… and yes it was! Cheap and the best meal I honestly had in Paris… depressing but true. I just had a baguette with tomato and brie. It was heavenly. I would go back here every meal of the day of I could… or at least recommend it to a friend.
