Bourgogne Sud

A wonderful find for a late night dinner, well recommendation. When I travel I don’t want to eat anything remotely American. I want to feel the culture inside and out the good and the bad. Though it’s nice to find the good most of the time. When you walk in and it’s bustling and the host pulls out an old red book and asks… do you have a reservation? Now keep in mind it’s 11:00PM. All I can do is say no and ramble off with some really bad French and hope she takes pity on me… tonight I was in luck.
This is a beautiful little neighborhood bistro with a gorgeous staff of four ladies. You sit down and with a smile a fresh sliced baguette, house sausage and champagne are delivered at once… so it begins.
Let’s start with a salad of greens, lardons and poached egg then Foie Gras de canard et chutney then tuna filet and salmon filet both with salad and vegetables then Saint-​Marcellin cheese by Thierry Avisse cheesemonger and Soufflé glade au Grand Marnier. All I can say is wow! Now I would have paired the sides a bit differently on the entrees but that’s just silly to mention this is a bistro anything goes.
If I lived here you wouldn’t be able to get rid of me… if you miss this place then you missed out on a portion of what life is all about!

Enfin testé après des mois de passages quotidiens devant. Globalement pas déçue. Tout est bon, fin et bien servi. Le personnel est agréable et au petits soins. Quelques bémols cependant: Les escargots sont servis sans leurs coquilles et même pas par douzaine ce qui a fortement choqué la bourguignonne pure souche que je suis. Et il manquait le bon jambon persillé de chez nous à la carte. A part ça, tout était très bien.

Bistrot au premier abord, petit resto bourgignon une fois servi. Le service est calé sur votre heure de spectacle du casino de Paris (c’est la première question !).
Plats entre 14 et 20 €, menus à 25 ou 30 €. Grand choix de vins.
Nous étions 12 à table, 6 plats différents, tous agréablement surpris.

Great place to grab dinner on a Saturday night! A busy cozy place with great lively atmosphere! The food is awesome! You can order a la carte or from a set menu! They even have an English version, although there was a bit more to choose from on the French menu. I had the escargot, steak back, and poached pears! I was not disappointed! Great french wines as well! Check it out!

Near the Casino du Paris and galleries Lafayette. Great neighborhood gem. Authentic French food. We had the set menu with frog legs, escargots, chicken liver pâté and fois gras. Delicious!

Came here our first night in Paris very late, and they sat us and served us the most wonderful food! My favorite part would have to be the escargot (see picture!) It wasn’t too salty, which I usually take offense with on this dish. The service was amazing, and the setting was exactly what you’d imagine a typical old fashioned french eatery to look like. The prices were on point and I am going back as soon as I can! Next time I want to try their soufflé and the table next to us got one and it looked incredible.

Excellent salami. Escargot buttery. Nice touch to serve a jar of large cornichons. My friend wants to go back for that alone. The chicken was overcooked but my friend loved the beef bourgogne and his terrine. Attentive service. Creamy rich potatoes. Thick rich sauces, Just wish they place served some green vegetables. Missing beautiful green vegetables in France. And more healthy, lighter options, food is so rich, there was a point I just couldn’t eat anymore, and I hate to «waste» food. Told they have a Japanese chef! Very interesting, love it. Pourquoi pas!

La vraie Bourgogne
Un restaurant très sympa une cuisine de qualité et copieuse ce qui est de + en + rare. Un service convivial et chaleureux. Un rapport qualité prix extra. Juste avant d’aller au spectacle on en redemande.

Petit restaurant tout proche du Casino de Paris, habitué à réaliser un service rapide, efficace pour les personnes allant voir un spectacle dans la salle voisine.
J’ai testé la quenelle de brochet, bon pas aussi bonne qu’à Nantua mais elle se défendait avec sa sauce crustacés et son riz en accompagnement. Le tartare coupé en gros morceaux au couteau a plu également avec sa salade et ses frites et sa mayonnaise maison.
A découvrir en prenant son temps et se laisser tenter par les escargots (ce sera une première pour moi), le paleron de boeuf sauce au vin avec une bouteille de mâconnais.
Menu du jour entrée /​plat ou plat /​dessert à 16,40 euros seulement.

Bof! Service lent, très cher plus la qualité médiocre des plats, à éviter!

Après un petit théâtre, la réservation est obligatoire. Bön rapport qualité prix et plats authentiques. Le Jambon persillé est très parfumé. Les plats sont savoureux (pintade au vin jaune, Joue de boeuf, etc…) Le vin en pichet est goûteux. Service agréable.

Une très bonne surprise dans ce bistro aux spécialités bourguignonnes. Un accueil très agréable, le patron est accessible et aimable, les serveurs (euses) également.
Belle carte, avec des prix réellement accessible vu ce qu’il y a dans l’assiette.
Je conseille fortement.

Excellente adresse si vous voulez de la bonne cuisine tradi accompagnée d’un bon vin pour un rapport qualité prix savoureux.

Bourgogne Sud: déception
Restaurant bénéficiant d’une belle publicité dans un hebdo, sur 2 pages ! Le résultat fut une grosse déception, car il n’a vraiment rien de plus qu’un bistrot X parisien. «Bourgogne Sud «à Paris, a joué la carte de l’authenticité, sans vraiment l’avoir. Le menu est bien alléchant, mais l’assiette est vraiment sans prétention. Le vin en pichet qui nous a été conseillé par la serveuse avait tourné au vinaigre, le personnel s’en est excusé, certes cela peut arriver, et pourtant le personnel a continué à le conseiller aux tables voisines ! Ensemble décevant !

Restaurant my daughter had meant to try since moving into the district, so we went there on Saturday night, didn’t have a reservation but table available straight away.
Good choice of Bourgogne regional food at a reasonable price.
Service excellent, attentive but not in your face.
I had frogs legs in garlic and parsley followed by roast duck with vegetables, couldn’t manage the desert!
Chose a nice Macon to accompany.
Well worth a visit!
