After a wander around the local area on our first night in Paris(including the Eiffel Tower obvs — see other review), our feet were sore, we were tired, and were kinda desperately in need of a beer — so we ended up here. Café Beaugrenelle is very much a typical touristy wine bar/café. We were able to get a seat outside(really common feature of bars in Paris). Location-wise, this was perfect for relaxing, having a chat, and watching the world go by — Place Charles Michels is a huge junction of around 6 very busy roads, and is also just beside the Charles Michel Metro station. The beer selection was blah, and very expensive — for 2 Kronenburg, it cost over 20 euro! Overall, friendly staff and awesome locale made this a great place to pass an hour.

A good spot to watch the world go by of an evening. The staff are friendly and chatty — even with our limited French. Once they realised we were struggling, they switch to English to help out. The food looked good and our fellow customers who were eating looked quite satisfied. We didn’t stay beyond one drink — which was pretty over-priced — clearly aimed at the tourist marker, but it’s our first night so we ended it here with a relaxed beer.
