Ein bisschen zu laut, aber insgesamt ein gutes Restaurant mit netter Atmosphäre im 11eme. Die Speisen sind teils klassisch Französisch, teils Bistro. Der Mittagstisch ist gut und bewegt sich im 10 € Rahmen.

Resto sympa à côté de Bastille. Il sont un peu lente mais la nourriture est trop bonne. Mon choix est toujours tatin de tomate et confit de canard

Mon meilleur pote, à la sortie du train Gare de Lyon, m’a directement emmené dans ce restaurant, me le vendant comme un de ces endroits préférés. Et je comprends pourquoi.
La carte est simple, mais très sympa ! Et surtout: HYPER ABORDABLE ! Quoi de mieux pour passer une bonne soirée entre amis? Tout est servi rapidement, on né voit vraiment pas le temps passer dans cet endroit!
La déco m’a frappée, elle est assez exotique, des objets venus d’Afrique, des Antilles, des tableaux colorés et immenses… J’ai trouvé ça assez fun, ça change des éternels déco taupe ou gris à la mode du moment !!
Je retournerais avec grand plaisir, lors de mes prochains voyages à Paris, au Café de l’industrie et je le recommande vivement !

Situé dans le quartier de Bastille, cette véritable institution parisienne propose, entrée, plat, dessert et brunch a des prix très abordables pour la capitale .
Décoration atypique et soignee, accueil chaleureux et surtout cuisine simple mais copieuse et délicieuse !! Une belle trouvaille !! Hâte d’y retourner !

J’ai eu la mauvaise idée de vouloir aller aux toilettes qui étaient très sales !
Le seul avantage est qu’il est possible d’arriver en groupe et de pouvoir être placés sans trop de soucis.

Les trois étoiles sont reflété simplement par le fait que la nourriture est excellente mais le service est déplorable. Pas de sourire, la serveuse à continuer à nous ignorer. Elle nous a servis une panière de pain pour 9. N’est jamais revenu nous demander si on voulais plus de pain ou de vin. Très mal poli pas du tt avenante tellement que l’on avait peur de la déranger. Si le service étais bon ce restaurant serai un 10|10.

This is one of my go-​to spots to take out of towners who are visiting Paris. It has atmosphere and feels very French. The meals are somewhat traditional (yes they serve escargots, but I’m a vegetarian so haven’t tried them!), and tasty, for not an outlandish price.

L’ endroit cosy à la décoration qui vous incite au voyage, pour un dîner entre amis ou en amoureux, les plats sont simples mais bons, le service impeccable…

Accueil moyen de la part de la serveuse, les plats sont moyennement copieux pour le prix (et pas exceptionnels). Bref, moyen. Pas de happy hours, pas de pintes!!!
Pas trop bruyant, cadre et déco corrects. Sanitaires très sales.

My partner and I popped in to enjoy the all-​day Sunday brunch, and were pleased to discover that it was not only reasonable (unless incredibly famished, a brunch can be easily shared between two), but delicious. I had been to the Café de l’Industrie on a number of occasions, but mostly for lunch or a quick café/​drink.
First came the brioche, coupled with butter and jam, and then the main plate (you can choose between bacon/​sausage with potatoes and eggs, or the salmon plate). We chose the scrambled eggs and salmon, paired with a small spinach salad, beets, potatoes and a dill cream sauce. To finish, the dessert of the day, which happened to be a fromage blanc sprinkled with honey and roasted almonds. And the drinks? Tea or coffee and a glass of freshly-​squeezed orange juice.
This café (like its sister café across the street, with the same name but red façade) is always teeming with regulars who live/​work in the area. It’s vibrant, it’s cozy, and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Cute décor both interior and exterior. For the price, the food isn’t that bad, but it isn’t exactly the best either. I ordered a steak tartare for 13 euros which came with a pretty big side of gratin. I only took a few bites out of my tartare because I was so full from the gratin and bread that I asked the waitress to wrap the rest for take out, but… due to miscommunication (although I’m not sure what was so unclear about my to-​go instructions other than it was said in english), she threw my entire plate of barely eaten tartare away. What a waste of good food and money. Not exactly sure if I want to return after that experience.

We saved this restaurant for our last meal in Paris as it was right next to our apartment, and we were very excited to relax and have a nice meal. I have lived in Paris before and am familiar that meals take a little longer than in the states, but what happened to us wasn’t acceptable. When we arrived it took staff about 10 minutes to take our order, we ordered one serving of escargot and two salmon dishes. About 20 minutes later the waitress came over with two servings of escargots, and when I tried to explain to her in French that I didn’t order escargot (only my friend did) she seemed to be upset with me. After the starter we asked to take our thins and stand by the bar while the floor underneath our table would need to be opened so they could take the garbage cans out. So, we proceeded to watch as two large garbage cans filled with trash were moved around right next to our appetizers. Then we sat back down and waited, 40 minutes passed and our salmon never came. We needed to catch a plane back to Germany and we would need to leave in the next 30 minutes… Alas our food never came, I asked the waitress and she looked confused and didn’t seem to understand. I told her we didn’t have time to wait for our salmon and we would need to leave. She brought the check and she was trying to charge us for both salmon dishes and both escargots… I told her that we never even got the salmon because it never game out after an hour of waiting.
Overall it was a terrible experience, and I was super disappointed that there were 9 women working there, and none of them seemed to be able to or want to do their job.

Le Café de l’industrie est une institution du quartier de la Bastille et son succès repose sur une recette efficace et bien rodée. Un cadre à la française, un service souriant décontracté, des plats sans chichis pas extraordinaires mais pas mauvais à des tarifs raisonnables: tout le monde trouve son compte à l’industrie, des étudiants qui partagent une planche et une bière à la dame du coin qui descend prendre son café et lire Libé, en passant par les touristes qui veulent déjeuner… C’est sans surprise, ni bonne ni mauvaise, c’est une valeur sûre et m’est avis que ce n’est pas prêt de changer. Ces adresses là ont aussi du bon.

Cadre trop nice, vraiment typique et chaleureux et qui donne envie de rester des heures c’est comme chez mémé même si les salles sont tes grandes. C’est bon pas cher pas très raffiné soit mais ça fait chaud au Coeur et c’est toujours un super moment.
Un des brunch les plus copieux et les moins cher de Paris (17 € Bouya!!) ça vaut vraiment le coup

My impression when the restaurant is full is something out of Disney World. It looks SO French, close to a cliché, you wonder «Sheesh! How did Disney find so many French people? And the décor? Like something out of a Parisian Bistro!»
I liked it!

The ambiance is nice, but that’s basically it. I had the plat du jour, which was stuffed veggies, around 7:30pm. I guess it was too early for them to cook rice, so they gave me cold and bland rice from the day before. People served after 8pm got a better deal, fresh rice! This is bad management, plain and simple. If you don’t have something fresh yet, tell me so I don’t order it.

Je suis allée dans ce café un soir de semaine avec des amies, vers 20h, ce n’était pas trop occupé.
J’ai trouvé le lieu calme et simple, la déco ancienne est fait avec goût.
Nous avons pris le trio de charcuteries/​fromages à 13 €, sinon c’est vendu 5 € l’unité. J’ai trouvé que c’était un peu léger, et pour le coup je préfère rajouter quelques euros et avoir plus de choix sur les planches.
Je n’ai pas eu l’impression qu’il y ai un happy hour, dommage!

J’y ai passé des heures au Café de l’Industrie…et c’est toujours un plaisir d’y retourner. Plats copieux, bons, avec des prix corrects et service rapide et sympathique par une bonne troupe de serveuses (?) jeunes et cool. Le vin né casse pas des briques mais pour le prix, on s’y fait. Mention spéciale au gratin dauphinois, je me laisse tenter à chaque fois tellement c’est bon!
J’aime bien le fait qu’on puisse se retrouver dans un resto ou l’autre — tous les deux ont une super atmosphère. J’adore la grande salle de celui à la devanture rouge, ambiance retro assurée! Le resto est d’ailleurs idéal pour les repas de groupe vu la taille de la salle!

Une salle pleine et un service qui est resté correcte, l’entrecôte était bonne mais on regrette l’absence d’une petite sauce poivre ou roquefort, les pommes sautées sont quand à elle fondantes. Les desserts sont pas mal bien qu’une petite boule de glacé viendrait volontiers accompagner le mi cuit au chocolat !

Comment dire du mal de cet endroit? C’est ma cantine !
Les plats sont faits maison pour la plupart et à un prix des plus raisonnable: il faut compter environ 10 € pour le plat du jour (dispo le soir aussi!). En plus il y a de la quantité dans les assiettes !
On peut effectivement mettre un bémol pour le bruit, la salle est grande et le resto est toujours plein. Donc à éviter pour une soirée intime .

Apres près d’un an d’absence (mais pourquoi ?) je suis retournée prendre un verre entre amis au Café de l’Industrie et ouf ! rien n’avait changé !
A l’intérieur une ambiance de bistrot parisien un peu vieillot avec des tables en bois un peu épaisses qui né sont plus de la première jeunesse, tout comme son mobilier fait de lampes et bibelots dépareillés. Sans compter les tableaux dont on a parfois du mal a définir le style. Mais le tout donne finalement un peu l’impression d’être dans une vielle maison de campagne avec des pièces rapportées d’un peu partout et on se sent très vite très a l’aise. Et puis ce cote vieillot vintage c’est aussi assez branché, bobo, on est quand même en plein cœur du 11ème !
Sur la carte adieu la branchitude et vive la bonne cuisine des familles, que du traditionnel en mode bonne franquette. En entrée oeuf mayo, rillettes (très bonnes), escargots, poireaux vinaigrette,… le tout entre 4 et 7 euros. Ensuite une courte sélection de salades et de pates et bien sûr les traditionnels onglet de bœuf, tartare, boudin aux oignons, saucisse au couteau etc, accompagnes de frites ou gratin dauphinois. Quelques poisons aussi et même des gambas pour le cote exotique, et pour les avoir teste plusieurs fois je les recommande tout particulièrement! Tout entre 11 et 15 euros. Et si on a encore faim après ces portions plutôt copieuses on peut toujours se laisser tenter par un morceau de fromage ou un dessert (une bonne part de tarte Tatin par exemple!) Rien de sophistiqué mais des plats simples et efficaces, de bons produits et un très bon rapport qualité prix.
Le tout dans un cadre décontractée et conviviale, un peu bruyante certes parce que la salle est immense et comme tout le monde passé un bon moment on rit beaucoup et ca fait du bruit, mais c’est plutôt bon signe et ca met l’ambiance. Sans compter que l’équipe est serviable et très sympa, et efficace.
Une super adresse dans le quartier pour un apéro ou un diner entre amis !

3 adresses pour un seul concept: le Café de l’Industrie propose un service de restauration type world food hyper accessible dans deux restaurants face-​à-​face. Pour les cocktails et les snacks, direction le petit bar marron à côté.
Cocktails de 7 à 8 euros, spiritueux, sélection de vins, bières…
Service un peu hésitant, mais ambiance et déco charmantes !

Voilá un sacré bout de temps que je n’avais pas été diner au Café de l’Industrie (ma cantine il y a une dizaine d’années, mais déménagement oblige) …et á tort ! J’ai passé une très bonne soirée.
Le cadre est toujours aussi dépaysant, la lumière tamisée comme il faut. Le restaurant était plein, mais c’était très agréable, bruyant bien sûr, mais pas assourdissant. On pouvait se parler quoi…
Côté assiettes, un sans faute. En entrée, un tartare de betteraves… á tomber ! délicieux.
Ensuite une entrecôte grillée accompagnée de carottes cuites (je né mange pas de pomme de terre, hélas), mon amie avait opté pour le poulet fermier (très bon aussi), le tout accompagné d’un Pinot Noir. Parfait.
Notre serveuse a été très aimable de bout en bout (malgré l’affluence) et l’adorable chat des proprios est même venu nous saluer en fin de repas. Soirée vraiment réussie. Á bientôt !

Very French. Very local. A bit upscale. We went in with a couple of locals and had a great time. Desserts are really, really good.

The food was good, served quite fast and the waitress was kind.
Small regret: No more Brunch at the time we got there (quite late, i recon).
About prices: We got enough to eat and drink for a 15 – 20 euros range.

What a cute café! This place is large… two separate buildings across the street from each other that are decorated differently, but both cute. We stopped in here for some coffee, I had the café crème and the husband had the café viennois. Both were very good, but the service, though friendly was sloooow and disorganized (people disappearing for long periods of time). Anyway, if you are passing by, definitely stop here, but don’t make a special trip.

I can’t speak to the food because I never got to eat here. I made a reservation for one person and arrived at the restaurant on time. They told me there was a table waiting for me and when the hostess went to seat me, she gestured to a small bistro table at the front of the restaurant. BEHIND A COAT RACK!!! There was a chair, a table, and a coat rack — full of coats and fully blocking the view of anything but the next table –where the other chair should be. Um, no. No, no, no, and more no. I understand that it is a popular spot but don’t make patrons dining alone feel like crap. I can only imagine how many other solo travelers have ended up in that VIP seat.

J’kiffe vraiment ce resto. Ambiance et décor superbe et sombre; chill, décontracté mais assez chic à la fois. La bouffe est très bonne. J’y ai mangé l’onglet, l’entrecôte et le canard — tous de proportions généreuses et bien goûteux avec des tranches enormes de gratin.
Le service peut être un peu lent (voire très décontracté) mais les filles (je crois qu’il y a que des serveuses) sont sympas et avec l’ambiance tranquille ce n’est pas le fin du monde de devoir patienter.
Really like this place. All of my old go-​to restaurants from when I lived in Paris have closed so I’m adding this one in pole position. If you’re anywhere near bastille/​république head here. Lovely chilled décor and ambience (mood lighting, wooden tables etc…). Food is great: hangar steak and the entrecôte are among the best steaks I’ve had in Paris. Massive portions of gratin. Service can be a bit haphazard but that befits the laid back vibe.

Cette institution — solution permanente à un problème permanent — à deux pas de Bastille est un endroit où il fait bon prendre un verre ou casser la croute ! C’est pratique et sympa !
A chaque fois je suis content de ce que je mange, ça né casse pas des briques mais c’est largement correct et pas si cher que ça. Et puis cette fois en charmante compagnie, je n’ai pas vu le temps passer. Par contre on a un peu attendu la venu de nos plats. En tout cas, les deux l’on remarqué.

It was an awkward time — around 18h00 — and the rain had crashed out the last part of our afternoon plans. Too early for dinner in Paris… or was it? I pulled out my phone and checked my phone, putting various price and distance filters on. This place came up highly rated and I have to say it did not disappoint. Various plats de jour that cost 12 euros or less, lots of great outdoor seating, and tucked away from the madding crowds. Don’t know what it’s like during regular dinner hours but it was bustling even during the shoulder period that we were there.

We visited this restaurant based on its high rating and the fact that it is four blocks from our apartment while we’re here.
I was very disappointed with every aspect of the meal. The confit of duck tasted like canned corned beef with no acidity or saltiness or seasoning to cut through the cold fattiness.
The chicken dish I had was what would result from boiling a chicken leg in some canned tomatoes and taking your time to serve it so that it was lukewarm. No slow braised flavor or roastiness… Just a boiled chicken leg, no thyme, herbs or flavor, just cold drapes of chixken skin waving in insipid red goo.
My dining partner had a veal special that was paper thin, cooked till it was dried out, and served in a starchy pinkish tomato sauce over overboiled thick, thick, thick spaghetti.
The entire meal was something that could have been prepared on a trailer park propane stove, plus the restaurant was so uncomfortably hot that the waitresses were fanning themselves with menus and finally, as we left, opened some of the windows.

Les prix sont vraiment pas chers et les plats sont pas mal du tout. Certes c’est pas de la grande cuisine, mais j’étais assez satisfaite c’est vraiment plus que correct pour une brasserie.
Pour ma part j’ai pris un confit de canard avec du miel qui était plutôt bon et apparemment les lasagnes aussi étaient bonnes. Tout le monde était assez content de son plat, le personnel est très sympa bref une adresse que je garde en tête quand je suis dans le quartier de Bastille.

Another repeat patron of this fantastic café/​restaurant. The cozy French charm of this place, with its fast and friendly service, makes the experience a must-​try.
I got the Filet de bar twice here and the fish was cooked perfectly. Flaky, crispy, and flavorful. I inhaled it so fast that the guy sitting next to me turned and uttered «Bön Appetit!» with a wink. What can I say? The French really know how to perfect fish. The soup du jour (vegetable soup) was smooth, creamy, piping hot, and luscious, just what I needed on a rainy and cold Paris night.
On my second visit, I braved the thought of slimy antennae and ordered the escargot as a starter. It was absolutely one of the most delicious things I’ve ever put in my mouth. I even sopped up the parsley/​garlic butter sauce with the basket of baguette on the table. Trust me, things have to taste amazing for me to touch the bread on the table. And devour something that was once slimy and had antennae.
On both visits the servers were consistently friendly and accommodating. I was graciously greeted immediately upon entering. Water, drinks, and food were delivered promptly to the table. They serve food all day, which helps when you’re a weary jetlagged traveler and can’t stay up till 8pm to eat a normal Parisian dinner. Stop by for casual drinks, a quick dinner, or dessert with good company. That includes with yourself.

Big place– they actually have three different places in a corner of a street. Good french solid food. The special of today is always a good price for a good portion of food. There is almost never people here before 9 o´clock.

This is a very comfortable café to visit for lunch, and to spend some time in. It’s very affordable, the service is efficient and friendly and not rushed, and the food is solid, consisting of french classics, accompanied by inexpensive wines and decent coffee.
I really liked the feel of the place, and I had the impression that this particularly cool ambiance could only be captured in this specific neighborhood of this great city.
One strong impression I had while in this place is that the owner obviously appreciates females. Every single painting and picture on every wall in this café’ is of an attractive female — not just modern women, but women from the past, women from France, and women from the colonies. Despite this, looking around it seems to be a place where females feel comfortable dining, alone or otherwise.

I have to give Café de l’Indust four stars, not because the food or service is outstanding but because it is a great go-​to. It’s consistently good (nothing more, nothing less), extremely affordable and well adapted to group dinners or a tête-​à-​tête with a girlfriend. The service continu is extremely appreciated for a late lunch, an apéro with a shared appetizer, or an early dinner before going out.
This is one of my favorite places to bring out of town guests since there is a solid array of traditional french dishes (confit de canard has never disappointed). The décor and atmosphere is also very un-​american (not sure that it’s typically french, it’s more «cantine-​y») which seems to please out-​of-​towners.
Lots of inexpensive wines by the glass, pitcher or bottle are available including your run-​of-​the-​mill and the step-​aboves of several french regions. Good list of apéritifs and difestifs as well.
Ok, service slow because the poor girls are a bit overworked with enormous sections, but hey, they’re generally pretty friendly.

While in Paris (early June 2013), my friends took me here for authentic traditional French cuisine. I got one of the duck dishes, foie gras maybe, and it came with potatoes and a honey sauce. Delish! My friends also got the same duck dish and the lamb dish. All were amazing, along with the apple fritter with ice cream dessert and the molten chocolate cake. If I am ever back in Paris, I will definitely be back!

Well, how to start. The place is great! Super cool décor and over all it is very hip or as the French say, «branché.» This is what a good Parisian café should feel like and they have everything that you should expect a Paris café to have. Plus, there are lots of people there most of the time so that is an indication that they are doing what the people want.
But isn’t the majority is always wrong? After living here for 4 years — I generally try to find a café that goes beyond «Parisian» expectations. I (as a somewhat local customer) expect a limited beer selection and mediocre service, but I would be happier with great service and good beers. If it is going to be a wine bar, I want to have a wide selection that I can drink by the glass. Also, cafes that have decided to carry good coffee and not just industrial crap get bonus points. Otherwise it is just another café in Paris…
But hey, what do I know? If you are here for a few days and want to get a good feel for what life is like in Paris in a place that really authentic and pretty cool on top of that, add this to your list. If you live here, there are better spots to go (in my opinion).

They named this restaurant well. It’s in a gritty neghborhood. The inside is dimly lit and has a 1930s era industrial feel. It’s off the beaten path, so don’t expect to run into many tourists.
We met some friends here for dinner. The menu is simple with some french classics and prices are resonable. The duck confit is nothing to miss if you’re in the mood.

Ich fand es da immer sehr schön. Manchmal vielleicht ein bisschen laut, aber gutes Essen und Trinken.

Siempre que voy a París tengo dos obsesiones a la hora de comer: el steak tartar y el pato. En el café de l’industrie tienen uno de mis patos favoritos. Lo preparan con miel y especias, con un sabor muy rico a pimienta roja. Es realmente espectacular.
Este sitio tiene mucho éxito, pero como es bastante grande, nunca he tenido problemas para encotrar mesa. La decoración es acogedora, reuniendo «tesoros» de la época colonial bajo la máxima de que más es siempre más, pero la mezcla de objetos tiene su aquél en este lugar.
Todo lo que he probado aquí está rico, como el steak tartar o unas gambas con especias. De postre lo mejor es otra de mis obsesiones en Francia, la tarte tatin! Una fina masa con manzana caramelizada caliente acompañada de crème fraîche fría.

Disclaimer: I went here with my Parisian friend who lives in the neighborhood so we probably got better service than most.
That being said, I found the service to be fairly quick, the prices to be very cheap for the quality and size of portions. I ordered the chicken salad, a glass of table red wine, and a cup of tea for about 15 euros. Compare that to the chocolat chaud and the coca-​cola I had earlier in the evening while killing time to meet my friend that I spent 12 euros at Le Bastille.

Ich fand das café toll. Lebendige aber nicht unruhige Atmosphäre, traditionelle aber nicht altmodische Einrichtung, gute Küche zum sehr guten Preis. Vier Personen, jeder je ein Hautgericht (Carpaccio, Thunfischfilet, Lachstartar und Rindtartar) und Dessert, zwei Flaschen Wein, Wasser. EUR 120. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Sehr nette Atmosphäre, auch wenn die ständig wechselnde Bedienung wesentlich mehr Freundlichkeit als Erfahrung bzw. Geschick beweist (Essen kommt, obwohl Apéritif noch nicht ausgetrunken, diverses Besteck fällt andauernd runter, Karte wird vorwarnungslos buchstäblich unter die Nase gesteckt…).
Deko sehr nett.
Das Essen (traditionnelle französische Küche à la Hausmannkost) schmeckt echt gut, auch wenn die schwindelerregende Geschwindigkeit vom Service eher Tiefkühlkost ahnen lässt.
Wein in Flaschen n Tick teuer, aber der Hauswein ist völlig ausreichend. Ausserdem sind die Preise wirklich in Ordnung für Pariser Verhältnisse.
Man kann auch nur etwas trinken, mittlerweile hat der Laden 3 Adressen in der selben Strasse.

Schönes Café etwas abseits des großen Touristentrubels. Eine feine Karte (gehobenes Bistro-​Niveau, wenn ich es definieren müsste), gute Getränke, angemessene Preise, sehr nettes Personal.
Echte Empfehlung!

Sehr nettes Café im Bastille-​Viertel. Immer voll und verraucht, aber trotzdem nette Atmosphäre. Die Getränke sind standardmäßig, für Pariser Verhältnisse nicht überteuert.
