Terrible. My tastebuds hate me for going here. We stopped in on our last night in town for a light dinner. We ordered the onion soup and the margarita pizza. First, the onion soup was cold, yellow, and disgusting. I ate one bite and didn’t touch the rest. I’ve had onion soup in dozens of restaurants in Paris, and many more at home in the states, but this is the only time it’s been a disappointment. It’s the easiest soup in the world to make so the fact that they could destroy it this much is astonishing. It’s only beef base, some caramel used onions, a piece of crusty bead and some cheese, all broiled for a minute so the cheese can melt. How hard is that??? This soup, however, wasn’t a beef base… First time that I’ve seen that. It wasn’t warm enough to melt the cheese or even to keep the oil from separating and forming clumps on the surface. When the waiter saw that I wasn’t eating the soup, he asked about it and seemed politely surprised at me not enjoying it. He told me a story about how he and his wife went somewhere and he had that soup in the same condition for the first time and how he also had one bite and called the waiter over and said that he didn’t like it, but that he would still pay for it… Setting up the fact that he intended to still charge for the terrible soup. He did and we paid, and I will never go back. The margarita pizza tasted like pizza I would have for lunch in the cafeteria at my elementary school, still better than the soup, but unimpressive. All together, the worst meal I’ve had in Paris, and really anywhere in a very long time.
