Café Emeraude

I came here to grab a quick meal after walking around the city in the morning and before going back to rest and freshen up in time to meet my French family for the ballet.
I got one of their «entrée +plat» (appetizer and main course) deals and started with a dish that was chilled shrimp salad on half an avocado. That was spectacular. The flavors were just right and the avocado was ripe and creamy. I was not impressed by the main course though — so unimpressed that I’ve forgotten what it was. Overall it was not worth the money spent — there are plenty of better places in Paris.
Mainly I didn’t like this place very much because the service was just terrible. I know it was another rainy day in Paris and all, but come on! The matron who was serving me was rude and not very attentive.
