Ahhhhhhhhh, why are stores closed on Sundays… and why are there summer holidays?! Do your research and make sure that you get your shopping done before and don’t leave it for the last day of your stay in Paris. I was at a loss of words when I saw that they were closed and it was just painful to see that the closest vicinity to the bags of my dream was through windows. Until next time… Celine.

Classless. My friend and I were sprinting before closing to get a purse, and we made it to the door breathless 5 minutes before closing. The woman at the door closed it right in front of us, and didn’t let us in although the store still had shoppers. We told her we would be quick, but she just made an X with her hands. We asked her if they would be open tomorrow, but she said no, Tuesday.(This was on a Saturday, we had a flight on Monday, and the store would only open Tuesday due to a holiday.) They missed out on a big purchase, and we’ll be sure to take our business elsewhere.

As I was in Paris, I was on a mission to purchase a Celine Nano Luggage Tote, as well as other high end luxury handbags by taking advantage of the 12% VAT return on any purchase over 170 euros. As the Nano Luggage Tote now values for roughly $ 2,700USD as of July 2014, purchasing a Nano in Paris saves you about $ 700USD! When I entered the Celine store I was expecting swarms of customers trying to purchase bags, but instead there was only one other customer in the store. The greeter of the store was so friendly and walked me over to a friendly and super patient salesperson helped me select my beloved new handbag. There were so many beautiful colors, both solid and tri-color bags, I simply couldn’t make a quick decision. My salesperson patiently took out each bag and attached the strap so I could try on the bags in front of the mirror. She also explained the different care instructions for the grained and smooth leather bags, as the grained leather bags tended to be easier to care for. Throughout the process I never felt pressured to purchase anything or feel as if they didn’t want to assist me. I finally decided on the classic black grained leather bag, and while I filled out the VAT tax return form, my salesperson prepared my bag and patiently waited for me as I paid and received my paperwork. The icing on the cake was when the salesperson escorted me to the door, handed me my purchase, and opened the door for me on the way out. This type of service goes a long way and makes me appreciate purchasing Celine goods from the direct store rather than a department store. I can’t wait to come back to Paris and buy another Celine product!

Was in Paris for a few days, and my wife was on a mission to get a Luggage Tote. Wandered in and walked around a bit. Of course, all the workers are helping others. Customers are fighting over bags, and there is barely anything on the shelves. After waiting for around 15 min and still not getting help, my wife was over it, and decided a Celine bag was not for her. Maybe next time, but the off-putting experience made us walk over to Chanel instead.

This trip to Paris was partially Mission Celine Nano, and I just had the most AMAZING luxury goods buying experience you could ever imagine. I’m on VACATION and it’s about 1:30 in the morning and I had to write this review, that’s how pleased I am with the time I spent in the store. From the moment you step in the door, the greeter is warm and not pretentious ATALL. She directed me upstairs, where someone would help bring me a selection of Nanos. A super friendly French man came out, and immediately helped me, showing off 4 bags in different colors. He even had some fun with my husband, making fun of him for sitting there, uninterested in handbags :-) After some time, I decided on a dark blue bag. The woman at the register was super friendly too.(Random, she’s from Miami… the salesperson I had was from Paris but lived 6 years in Japan… really interesting stories they had.) Never once did I feel like the salespeople were sizing me up or didn’t want to help me. None of them were pushy, and I came away feeling amazing, and almost wanting to go back tomorrow for some sunglasses. Love the brand even more!

Hmm just noticed Unilocal!for Paris. This review is about 3 years past due. I was in Paris in the summer of ’07 and dropped in on my last day of a 3 wk trip around Europe. I was on a mission to find this specific pair of Celine sunglasses and finally found them at this location. It was THE very last pair in store. To date it’s still one of my favorite pairs of all time. 5 stars for the helpful and friendly staff. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.
