une équipe très sympa, des bières pas chères, une ambiance cool, bref parfait pour boire un verre rue saint maur.

Rating des Ortes: 5 Paris, France
Fun bar with DIRTCHEAP happy hour! Only 2.50 € for a pint of beer or glass of wine from 6−9pm! In Paris? Say no more — I’m already there!(after 9, a pint is 5 € which is more than reasonable for Paris). This place was super cute! It’s somewhat small and fills up quickly. We arrived around 7:45 and most of the tables had already been taken up by a reservation or earlier arrivers. Not a big deal — we found an area with a counter top to stand by and some chairs to put our coats down on. At first I thought as like oh no, there’s nowhere left to sit.(When ur 30, having a place to sit at a bar is kind of a big deal.) But, it really honestly didn’t end up bothering me that we were standing most of the time, and I think we actually had more fun that way. Oh, and for those who like dancing, there’s a downstairs area with a dance floor! The bar itself is awesome — there’s a foosball table(«baby foot»), a big screen(which wasn’t on when we arrived), and the layout of the bar is quite favorable to mingling. Let’s talk about the bartender/possible owner? One of the bartenders(who I suspect could be the owner) is an adorable older lady! A cool grandma working at a bar? Oh heck yea. She is just the best. It was just after 9pm when we tried to order another round and happy hour had just finished but she’s like ok guys«I’ll extend it to another 15 minutes for happy hour». Wait, what? What bar in Paris have u ever been to where they extend happy hour? Just straight up awesome! And a 2.50 € a pint happy hour? I cannot sing the praises any more. Careful though — one of us ordered a Picon and that was 5 €, double the price. Another cool thing about this bar is that u can totally bring food — snacks, a sandwich, a pizza — whatever. If u forget to grab something, there’s both a pizzeria and a burger/kebab fast-food type of place right next door. This bar is ideally located near Belleville and on rue Saint maur, across the street from Le dude. It’s also minutes away from Le café Cheri, which is a fun place to head to after. This could also be an ideal place to stop by after grabbing dumplings in Belleville. Updated to add: come here ASAP! This is just so legit. The owner(the older grandma named Marie) is just so freaking adorable. She really makes u feel welcome and at home. So we made a reservation by phone and she made a point of coming and presenting herself to the person who made the phone reservation. And it was my bday and she sought me out and was like«are u the bday girl?» And gave me and my BF delicious shots on the house. I wanna adopt her. Can I have her? Please? Also she is the sweetest — she set up the whole downstairs area for us(which we didn’t end up using as we preferred to stay upstairs) and she wasn’t even mad after setting up all those chairs for nothing. You can order delicious Italian pizza next door and eat at the bar — no questions asked. Heck, Marie is doing it too! Haha LOVETHISPLACE
