Comptoir des Catacombes

This seems to be the unofficial (or maybe it is official??) gift shop to the catacombs. A bit of a morbid sense of humor and a strong hand of memento mori flavor all of which sounds right up my alley.
I’ve never been a fan of the «keep calm & insert hobby here» quote, but this shop had me on its many «keep calm & remember you will die» quoted merch.
The shop sells all sorts of catacomb themed items. Something I find unsettling out of respect for the dead, but oddly delightful since I enjoy the sorted humor and general attitude toward the subject.
They also have the typical kitschy Paris souvenirs. I ended up buying a postcard, magnet, a quirky faux euro with a skull on it, and a really neat pin that says catacombs Paris. Have no clue what I’ll do with the stuff, but I’m amused nevertheless.
You can find this shop squarely situated right outside the exit of the catacombs across the street. If you turn left while facing this shop you will go to Ave. Du General Leclerc. At Ave. Du General turn right and it will go back to Denfert-​Rochereau & the entrance. Either way, when you pop out of the catacombs don’t miss this shop for souvenirs. We are all bones underneath!~
