This place is wonderful! It’s a great antidote for Duck-Pâté-Cream-Butter Over-Saturation Syndrome. Don’t get me wrong, I love French cuisine; however, one night we wanted something different. If you haven’t had Lebanese food, it’s kind of a cross between Greek and Middle-East cuisine. Everything was super-flavorful and perfectly spiced. The hummus and tabouli are fabulous-very lemony! The chicken and lamb kebabs were perfectly cooked. All the accompanying sides were all delicious. I recommend ordering one of the combination plates, so you can try several things. My husband and I ordered different ones so we could sample an even wider variety. We oohed and aahed throughout the entire meal. Stick to the French wine, it’s a better deal and just better — I was not impressed with the Lebanese one I tried. Our waitress spoke English well. The place is tucked away in the cobblestone side streets off Avenue de l’Òpera. Sit outside so you can admire the Molière monument across the street.

Very nice restaurant! A bit pricey but I think it was worth it. The quantity of the food is perfect amount. The wait time is more than average for the food. The desserts are even better. I had the pistachio ice cream with whipped cream and caramel and everything seems like it was made fresh. They make their own ice cream so the pistachios was the best one. I would definitely come back again!

Decided to this restaurant tonight based on good reviews on Unilocal — only to find the place closed without any notice. Disappointing!

After a few days in Paris, we had started to crave some spicy, flavorful ethnic food. Remembering our favorite Mediterranean restaurant back home, Pita Inn in Chicago, we wanted to look for a Lebanese restaurant. On Rue Richelieu, and only a few blocks from the Louvre, Damouri was the perfect culinary haven tucked away from the tourist hustle & bustle. The food was incredible – one of the best falafels I’ve ever had! Crispy on the outside, but moist and perfectly spiced on the inside. Every dish we ordered was incredible, fresh, and so flavorful(chicken schwarma, hummus, baba ghannoug, grape leaves, fatayer). It was good, clean food that left you feeling satisfied and wanting more. The fatayer was a lovely, tasty alternative to spanakopita – not as greasy, but equally filling. The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was great. Not only was the food delightful, but the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend going there if you want to try something new in Paris – I plan on going back on my next trip!

I had a lovely lunch on rue Richelieu, sitting in the Paris summer sun on the sidewalk at Damouri. I happened across this place while looking for a lunch treat and it was definitely a treat. I had the Kafta(kebabs [no sticks] with spices and yogurt on the side), which came with an «oriental salad»(it was what I think of as a «normal» salad in the US, with a vinaigrette(?) dressing). Both the Kafta and the salad were very, very tasty. The kebabs were a very«robust» flavor(it’s the best word I can think to use), and the salad complemented the spices in the kebabs nicely. I also tried the«thé glacé maison», which was okay, but did not really taste of anything, so I wouldn’t get it again. It was delightfully empty for a 1pm lunch, so I hesitate to share my treasure with Unilocal, but it really is very good and I want them to have the business and you to have the experience.
