Mesdames, Messieurs, Je me suis rendue dans cette boutique dilettantes la Maison du Champagne située à Paris 6ème. Constat d'une invalide qui porte le prénom Aurore même pas le courage de dire son nom de famille. Elle a fait un mauvais accueil. Sans prestation : Elle était imbuvable pourtant je n'ai rien demandé. Ne jamais aller à dilettantes la Maison du Champagne. J'ai trouvé beaucoup mieux ailleurs. Un seul conseil A FUIR. J'ajoute pour le comportement de cette personne Aurore de la Maison de Champagne il y a trop à dire de négatif ! Bon courage aux clients Aurore invalide dilettantes la Maison de Champagne A FUIR !

If you love champagne but HATE awful group tours or do not have the means to get to the Champagne region, Dilettantes will fill the void. While the usual champagnes were available, there was a vast amount of grower options available. I was informed buy an acquaintance that grower champagne uses the same grapes as the expensive stuff but costs must less.
I happened to stop in on Champagne Day were it boasted 2 – 1 tastings. These tastings aren’t just a few sips — they are full glasses of bubbly which I swilled joyously.
The service is fantastic and they were able to translate everything into English. We also has lovely conversations with the ladies and they were more than happy to assist us with everything we could need.
I ended up buying… well A BUNCH of bottles. SO much better than some crappy LV purse on the Champs Elysee!
My recommendation for Dilettantes to any Champagne lover (or casual flirt) could not be higher.

If you love champagne, this is the place.
Tucked away on 22 rue de Savoie in the 6^th, this is a wine shop and tasting bar dedicated to grower champagnes. Grower champagnes own the vineyards from which the grapes are produced.
Dilettantes has an amazing cellar dating to the time of Louis XIII where the champagnes are tasted. The typical tasting of three champagnes was 23 euros.
Fanny was very helpful in explaining the subtleties of each type of champagne tasted. The prices by the bottle are reasonable and the inventory of producers is incredible.
Worth the journey.

We were lucky enough to happen upon Dilettantes during a morning stroll. Great location in St. Germain des Pres and just what we were looking for, a champagne tasting. We came back when the shop was open. Had a great experience, hosted by the owner, Fanny. The store itself has a small room upstairs, and there is also a downstairs set up like a wine cave which is spacious with a long community type table. We did the 3 champagne ‘sampler’ which really were full pours. Also enjoyed a bite to eat with the tasting, a mix of cheeses and one of the charcuterie meats. Those were lovely as well.
We couldn’t have been more delighted. The champagnes were wonderful. We bought a bottle of each of the 3 we tried to have back at our apartment for our stay. Fanny is very knowledgeable about the champagne in that she comes from the region and knows many of the producers personally. The selection in the store beyond our tasting is extensive. Clearly hand-​picked and very nicely presented in the cellar tasting area. Individual description cards that we brought back with us, about the producers and the champagne. We enjoyed our time there, talked to another couple as we sipped. We were looking for just this experience and were so lucky to happen upon the storefront which had been open only 8 months. Can’t wait to return on our next visit to Paris, and possibly may have some shipped back to us in San Francisco. Thank you Fanny for a super experience!

Rien que le service mérite cinq étoiles. Quand je suis arrivé Dilettantes était déjà fermé mais en s’apercevant de ma déception, la vendeuse qui fumait une cigarette dans la rue accepte de rouvrir pour moi. Pendant une seconde j’ai eu un doute si j’étais bien à Paris. Elle a été adorable et a gardé le sourire du début la fin en m’aidant à trouver une bouteille de champagne, boisson dans laquelle le magasin est spécialisé, et m’a présenté un cru au concept original: il est intégralement préparé par des femmes. Nous nous en sommes régalés à l’apéritif.

Rien que le nom, une invitation aux voyages. Autant de voyage que de champagnes (130) que de producteurs représentés (25) et quand même quelques grandes maisons.
Fanny a ouvert ce lieu il y à quelques mois. Mettant en avant, dans cette cave qui mérite le coup d’oeil à elle toute seule, des champagnes sélectionnés, différents, intéressant, variés, et pas plus chères (voire moins en fait) que les «classiques».
Vous pouvez regarder, discuter, gouter, découvrir.
Dilettantes promet d’être au champagne, ce que la maison du whisky est au whisky: o) !
