Food was great, a little expensive but not too bad. Waiters/waitresses spoke enough English to get by.

Listen, I am an honest man. I will openly admit to my shortcomings. We ended up eating here multiple times on our honeymoon because it was accessible, had good food, friendly service, and was a 2 minute walk from our hotel. I am not afraid to admit that. Firmine is basically where you come if you are a tourist and want to go out to eat in Paris but want it easy on you. Menus are in French and English. Staff were super nice and spoke to us in English. Food isn’t cheap but it isn’t the most expensive either. You also get a good portion. Yes, yes we are in France and there is a LOT of Italian food on the menu. What’s wrong with trying to live a little comfortably? Some highlights from the food: –Duck was good. I can’t remember how the duck was supposedly prepared, but it was good. –Carbonara was good. Actually, it was somehow more rich than what we have here in America. How is that? How did you go with richer carbonara than America? –Escargot was good, though not the best I had in France(plug for another review, go find it, fetch) Overall…yeah, I’m not going to pretend this place was frequented for anything other than convenience. But it was infinitely better than the restaurant in our hotel. Would actually come back on my own if I was in the area. It’s a good stop. Oh, also should warn that people are allowed to smoke in the outside seating section. And keep in mind in the winter that section is covered up. So if you are against sitting in a cloud of smoke, get inside seating.

I would recommend this restaurant, we had pizzas, and it was very tasty, 15 € for the pizza. Very nice place, everyone is nice, and the menus are also on english.

This restaurant was excellent! Although our waitress seemed a little unfriendly at first, when our food came shortly after ordering, we could not have been happier! The pizza, pasta and salad were outstanding! I had the Tagliatelle à la carbonara and my mom had the pesto pasta with penne. My dad and sister split a pizza with egg yolk on it(can’t remember the name of it). We split a salad and calamari. I would from definitely recommend this place to anyone! Great fresh food. Great location. One of our best meals of the trip so far.

We had a late lunch and the staff was pleasant that we did not know their language well. Better than any place in NYC or Philadelphia. The food was good. The pesto pasta was outstanding. Almost gave the place 5 stars on that only. The assiette vegetale was very good. The pizza was very good. Worth going to for good food and order the pesto.

We checked out this cozy little spot during our visit to Montmarte based on Unilocal reviews and ratings. We squeezed in to our table next to strangers and began to peruse the offerings. We were wishing to take our time but the staff was hoping to rush us to order. There were a few things on the menu which were interesting but in wishing to take our time I ordered a first and soup. My husband had a filet with potatoes. The food was tasty and enjoyable. Overall the experience was A-OK. I don’t think I’d go back primarily because the seating is a bit cozy(they had to pull the table out so you could sit down) and our server was curt and inpatient with the request.

Extremely good food! The pizza had some of the best cheese I ever tasted. A nicely furnished placed with spaces on the inside and outside(if weather permits). The staff was friendly but busy, so no complaints. We didn’t have to wait for too long to get pur food. Prices are fair. The famous Eiffel Tower is just around the corner. Overall we had a good time coming here for dinner and would gladly come back.

Fantastic – we chose to eat here due to the Unilocal reviews and ended up eating at Firmine two nights in a row, each time splitting a pizza and pasta dish between two people. Really can’t go wrong with any of their entrees.

Wow! Our last day here and the eat way to end it. The freshest pasta with meat sauce, lasagna, pepperoni pizza, bread with oil and vinegar, and of course… French red wine! One of the best meals here. Plus the service was phenomenal. Waiter said fresh herbs and veggies every day… nothing goes in the fridge. And you can taste it!!! Friendliest people. We will be back!!! FIVESTARS!!!

Went to this place twice while on vacation in Paris; first time for dinner, second time for lunch. Our first time we were waited on better than during the second. Waitress from the second time was slow as molasses going up hill. Food from dinner, we had the grilled veggie anit-pasta; delicious. I had the lasagna, she had the fish(I believe salmon). For lunch, I had spaghetti, she had lasagna this time around. As far as the many cafes around the Eiffel Tower, this one had the best tasting food; yes it is an Italian joint, but the taste was better than most of the other places we went to.

Food was good and so were prices. Pretty standard for Paris. Took a little while for our second course to come(pizza) but it might be because they were waiting to make it til we finished our soup.

I’d really say 3.5. The food was delicious. The wine was very nice as well. The outdoor seating which was plentiful was exactly what i was looking for for our Parisian experience! Restrooms were clean. The wait staff was very nice and spoke English. Also the menus had English translation. I would definitely go again.

Smiling faces and friendly service! We walked in here on a Saturday night at 10:45 pm very hungry. We were seated at a table outside immediately and our kind waitress brought us menus which are in French and English. We ordered a half liter of Bordeaux wine and 2 pastas. The food was delivered to us quickly. We had just received our wine and our food was brought out. The pasta portions are large, especially for the prices. We did not try the pizzas, but noticed many other tables order them. They look delicious and each one could easily be a meal for 2. This is a good restaurant for vegetarians, as there are some vegetarian options on the menu(I had the tomato basil pasta, husband had the four cheese penne– vegetarian and delicious).

Best service out of all the restaurants we visited while in Paris. Our waiter, Lucas was so friendly and accommodating, he raised the waiter rating for all of Paris! Special requests were gladly honored and his great sense of humor and tableside manner made us feel right at home. I had the Penne au Saumon, and my wife had a dish I can’t pronounce. Both were delicious! We enjoyed a few glasses of very good red wine, and we shared a decadent chocolat mousse for dessert. The prices were very fair. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. The location was great for us and anyone near the Eiffel Tower. Plenty of outdoor seating on the sidewalk. We had a great perch next to an open corner double-door right by the sidewalk for wonderful people-watching. My only regret is that we did not try this place until our final night in Paris.

If you are looking for really really good food this is the place. The pasta is the best in Paris, and the pizza is just as good(if not better) as in Italy. Service is prompt and friendly. Also, a great place for people-watching. Love!

Very nice waiter with good english speaking skills. He was polite and very serviceminded. He asked how hungry we were and recommended the food he thought would suit us. A very good recommendation. We had pasta with pesto and a ruccola salad. The food was OK, but nothing special at all. Good prices, not too expensive even though its close to the Eiffeltower. Toilets are downstairs, very clean but did not have paper towels that I prefer. Not many tourists here, but a lot of french people having lunch with their work colleagues. Some businessmen in suits. No dresscode though. We were here at lunchtime. The only thing I had a problem with here was the loud noises from the cars driving by on the street, and guests at the restaurant sit close to eachother and therefore talk loud. Its no problem really, but dont go here with someone who has bad hearing.

I suppose when you have a restaurant this close to the Eiffel Tower you are infinitely more successful if you have a staff that is friendly and service-oriented — and while I absolutely adore the French and the French culture — this is not always typical of a French restaurant. We arrived around 7:30 pm with two tired and cranky(though still well-behaved) 7 and 8 year old children. We were given a large round table for 5, even though we were only 4, which is so nice since usually we find ourselves squeezed around a much smaller table. My son and I ordered pasta and my daughter and husband ordered pizza. Even though there was no pepperoni on the menu, when my daughter asked for plain cheese the waiter offered her pepperoni for the top, much to her delight. Not only that, but it came out in the shape of a heart! The waiter was super friendly, even offering to take a photo of us during our meal(without us asking), and suggesting excellent wines. He checked on us frequently and was delighted to discover that both my husband and I spoke some French, though everyone there spoke excellent English. The food was solid, and even though it wasn’t an over-the-top exceptional food experience, it was probably our favorite meal in Paris. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a yummy and friendly meal in the 7th.
