This hotel did not live up to it’s 20093 star rating. Everything was just average with the exception of the duel windows opening to a courtyard. The windows were my favorite part. The internet didn’t work the first 2 days I was there, the rooms were clean but need some serious updating. The prehistoric looking ‘hair dyer’ in the bathroom did not work. The bed was full size but made by putting two twins next to each other. The hotel is in the idealistic Montmartre neighborhood, walking distance to Sacre Coeur, surrounded by charming cafes and restaurants. The redeeming quality of this hotel was the ease of booking on and the extreme value. For the price, I can’t really complain but this hotel should not be listed in guide books as 3 stars, it’s just not there.

I booked through Expedia last minute but it worked out well — confirmed reservation, paid in advance by credit card. Taxi from the ride from the airport was interminable due to morning traffic. If you’re traveling light Roissy Bus will drop you near Opera Garnier. Hotel is two blocks up from Gare St. Lazarre with easy access to multiple metro lines. Lots of pleasant, simple café’s on the short walk to the station. The hotel itself, I thought, was expensive for what was provided, and if I could I’d give it 2.5 stars. The reception staff were pleasant and all spoke English. My room was comfortable for one but would have been crowded with two. The bathroom facilities were sufficient — hot water, good pressure. My room was worn but clean; the carpet in particular had bleach stains. Comfortable bed; small closet to hang clothing. Enjoyed the huge windows for the fresh air but they opened into an odd enclosure, not quite a courtyard but quiet, with nearly no noise from the street. The windows were lovely because the air conditioning seemed to be malfunctioning… Breakfast is available for 6 Euros, though I skipped it. Oh — and I arrived at ~10am; early check-in was no problem. For availability on short notice and easy of access I feel bad to complain, but the price is a bit outrageous and the facilities could use a freshening.
