As the previous reviewer said, I’m giving a 4⁄5 because it was everything I expected it to be. The room was a little smaller than we were used to, but from what I’ve read I think that’s normal of hotels in Paris. That being said, it fit the both of us quite comfortably. We were able to get a very good price for a 6-night stay through Travelocity. Location-wise, it’s a 1 minute walk to the Pasteur metro, which was convenient for sight-seeing. I wouldn’t say it’s within walking distance to any of the major tourist attractions, unless you enjoy long walks. The staff were pleasant too; all were polite and were knowledgeable of the area and the quickest way to get around using the metro. They require that you leave your room key with them whenever you leave the hotel(which I found a little sketchy because they don’t check your ID when you ask for it back), but there’s always someone at the desk(they lock the front door past 1AM, but you can just ring the doorbell and they’ll come out). All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would consider booking another room here if I decide to visit Paris again.

I’m giving this hotel a 4/5, not because it was an amazing experience, but more because it pretty much met my expectations. This hotel is a very basic, rooms are small, and it is located on a major street, but the price was very reasonable for Paris. The location is very good for seeing the sights as there is a metro station right out front and it isn’t a long walk to many of the sights(if you are a walker like I am). Skip the hotel breakfast and head to the boulangerie at Rue de Vaugirard and Rue Ernest Renan for 3 euro petit dejeuner.

Tiny rooms with toy sized«double» beds; I’m only 5’7″ yet barely fit with my husband. Paper thin walls– got a pretty great show from the guests next door. Service at the lobby was pretty hit and miss– rude at times, hardly a smile, but efficient and helpful. Breakfast was quaint, hardly worth the price. Still, cheap overall and next to the Pasteur metro station. Clean rooms, consistent warm water, adequate Internet speed. Meh all around.

Be very cautious when booking this hotel! If you don’t mind a very small room even in comparison to Paris standards, a constant bombardment of traffic noise if you wind up with a street-side room, and paper thin walls which offer no protection from noisy neighbors, this might be your place. Once you book, be prepared to spend your entire reserved time here. My wife and I booked the hotel sight-unseen for a four night stay last week. After we arrived and checked in we found that we needed to change our stay to just one night. I informed the night clerk that we would probably need to leave after one night but I would let him know after we returned from dinner. After a brief discussion he assured me that I would be charged for only one night. When we returned from dinner, I told him that our plans had indeed changed and we needed to move on and that I wanted to pay our bill that night because we would be leaving early. He pulled our reservation form and told me we would have to pay for two nights because we were giving them less than two days notice. He said this was the policy of the booking agent we had used to reserve the hotel. After much discussion, I agreed to pay for the two nights but informed him I would contact the booking agent to verify what he told me. After contacting the booking agent, they not only refuted the claim of the hotel, but asked them to refund me for the second night. The hotel refused and denied ever telling me that I would only have to pay for one night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for a number of reasons, but primarily because their actions have been dishonest. I would urge caution in trusting this hotel with my vacation if I were you!

Was looking for a hotel within easy walking distance of Montparnasse train station. This one certainly met our needs. Very basic amenities, through our room had a very spacious bathroom, and amazingly enough, a view of the Eiffel Tower.(Don’t get you hopes up — from the looks of things, there are maybe a dozen rooms in the whole place that offer that little perk! You had to stand on one foot and lean out the window to see the whole thing!) The desk staff was nice enough, though I bought some internet time to print my boarding pass for the next day and I think the computer was running Windows 95 — REALLY! Would have been easier to walk to the airport and have them write the out the boarding pass by hand! It’s about a ten minute walk(up hill!) from the train station, and there’s a metro station right across the street, so that all worked well.(We were able to connect to the RER from the Metro, to catch a train to CDG for a noon-time flight.) This is a vibrant neighborhood with lots of eateries, cinemas, etc, a bit off the typical tourist track of center city. We like that. In giving three stars, I mean it’s just a good, clean, reasonable place to stay. No frills, but we got a decent price on . I would certainly stay again, simply for the proximity to the train station.
