This was the vacation of a lifetime for me. It was in November 2015, so tourism was down. I was able to see everything I ever wanted to see in Paris without waiting in long lines. As far as Hôtel Kensington… I found this place to be nothing short of charming. It was reasonably priced and the location was perfect. Two blocks from the Eiffel Tower and about 4 – 6 blocks to the closest Metro station(Ecóle Militaire). The building itself is quite vintage. It definitely had a 19th century vibe, but the rooms and bathrooms were well maintained and clean. It was also equipped with a safe. A big plus in my book. They offer a great continental style breakfast for € 6. I recommend trying at least once. They serve it to you formally. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I stayed here 2 weeks and plan on returning. Happy Traveling;)

This is my first time in Paris so I’m not sure if what I experienced was typical, but I will rate based on my preferences. There was no AC, so we had to sleep with the window open, which meant hearing traffic all night and waking up. The shower is so small that when I shower, the water leaks out. The WiFi only works downstairs in the lobby. The location is nice, but I want a place to rest for the night and not be afraid of going back to my hotel.
