We loved the location. The rooms are clean and at the same time with a topical European feeling! The wifi was not strong and kept kicking me out of the websites and emails. They have a nice bar behind the front desk and a terrace to enjoy afternoon drinks. Breakfast was average, however I could not pass on the offer of $ 5 additional on my room rate, also considering that I had an early flight. There are nice bars and restaurants on the hotel street and neighboring area. The staff was super friendly and helpful with all requests.

What a wonderful hotel to stay in the 6th district of Paris! Service: The front desk/receptionist were all very kind and provided a warm welcome. Most speak English well enough to assist their guests with their stay. Rooms: Like any room in France, they are smaller than what we are accustomed to in the USA, however it is fine for the week. EXTREMELY clean, upgraded amenities in the bathroom. Very comfortable mattress, pillows and comforters/sheets. TV in bedroom, mini bar available for items to purchase, safe in room(very easy to use and used to store passports during our stay), free Wifi available. Bathroom: Shower/Tub, toilet, sink, towels, and hairdryer. Extra perk: They change your towels EVERY day and make the bed at no additional charge. Note: no washcloths. If you usually use a washcloth while bathing, make sure you bring 1 or 2 with you. A taxi ride from the airport will range between $ 55 and $ 65 euros(depending on the route taken) to this hotel location. Next to two metro stops(M10 and M4 and RER C) with easy access to all major sites throughout Paris. Breakfast is provided daily, however I believe there is a cost. I did not dine for breakfast so I cannot comment on it. Prices range within the $ 200 — $ 250 on avg price per night in USD. I booked directly on their website for bookings. I highly recommend this boutique hotel. I would stay at this hotel on my next trip to Paris without a doubt. Everything in the hotel was EXTREMELY clean.

We are staying here for 4 nights. Yes the room it small, but typical by European standards. Everything is clean(and I’m really picky). What makes it five stars is the location and the staff. It is convenient to so many sights! And Anya at the desk is wonderful! Patient and informative. We also arrived early and were able to get our room early. We left our bags with Anya and walked to the Luxembourg Gardens for a nice walk. When we returned, our room was ready! In the evening the gentleman at the desk recommended a great restaurant on the same street. We would stay here again!

Honestly, I’m leaning between 2 and 3 stars here, as this was the least nice hotel we stayed in during our trip to Europe. I think the only thing that actually saves la Perle is the location, which is fantastic. As for the rest of the hotel, it’s pretty much just meh. When we checked in and went to our room, there was some pee already waiting for us in the toilet — YAY!(Seriously, that really grossed me out, as I don’t like surprise bodily fluids in my hotel room.) The rest of the room was clean enough, but definitely worn and a bit dated, as mentioned by another reviewer. The bed was comfy enough, but oddly, it didn’t have a full queen sized duvet on it, but two single sized ones instead. Weird. Thankfully, we didn’t have the issues with housekeeping replacing used items — they came every day and cleaned/replaced things, whether we wanted service or not. The bathroom, once the random pee was flushed, was alright, but the shower was a nightmare. Some days the temperature was fine, other days it would fluctuate between freezing and scalding for no apparent reason. The water pressure was alright, though, so there’s that. There were also free bath salts, which came in handy when we needed to soak our tired, sore feet after a long day of sightseeing. All in all, I’d consider staying here again, as the area is great, but I think we overpaid for our room.

The shower curtain was very mildewed and it made the whole bathroom smell like something bad was growing in there. The small room looked worn and not especially clean. Housekeeping was kind of spotty about replacing towels, soap, etc. We were in a room facing the street, and young people outside a bar there carouse till 2 am. Between midnight and 2 am, you can’t open your window for all the cigarette smoke and noise. On the other hand, the location in the Saint Germain district is fantastic. Those noisy kids are kind of charming, and with the windows closed, it’s not loud. The free breakfast includes fresh croissants and brioche. The front desk people are super nice(really, they are terrific), and they speak English, too. Paid ~160 euros/night.
