Hôtel Meslay

Super Hotel und gut gelegen. Waren letztes Jahr in Paris und ich muss sagen, das es ein super niedliches Stadthotel ist. Obwohl uns viele Freunde den Hinweis gegeben haben, das man in Frankreich kein Englisch spricht, konnten wir uns im Hotel super auf englisch unterhalten. Die haben sich regelrecht gefreut, das wir Deutsche waren und versucht mit ihrem stückchenhaften Deutsch zu reden, soviel Gastfreundlichkeit ist man ja kaum noch gewohnt.
Die Zimmer waren zwar etwas niedrig so etwa 2m Deckenhöhe (wir sind schon 1,90m bzw. 1,82m groß) Aber sie waren sehr sauber und alles funktionierte (sogar österreichisches Fernsehen). Am Frühstück lässt sich auch nichts aussetzen, wir konnten sogar noch etwas zu essen mitnehmen.
Das Hotel liegt nur 10 Minuten Fußweg von Notre Dame entfernt und überhaupt kommt man von dort eigentlich überall in Paris hin (entweder zu Fuß oder mit der U-​Bahn). Alle 50m gibt es eine U-​Bahn Station.
Ich kann dieses Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.
Ich gebe nur einen Stern Abzug, da ich schlecht berurteilen kann ob das Hotel auch etwas für Familien oder Geschäftsleute wäre, da wir selber als Paar gereist sind, für die ist es aber perfekt :)

Very friendly staff, charming little hotel in the middle of everything in Paris. We stayed there 6 nights at the start of an extended trip to France and a couple nights at the end. Felt like home to us before we left. If you can, get a room on the second floor facing the front of the hotel… they have small balconies. One word of warning, this is in a very noisy part of town, especially being so close to the Metro and a major arterial street. They don’t have AC in the rooms, so if it’s warm you have to choose between peace and quiet with soundproof windows shut or listening to traffic and people shouting out to one another well into the wee hours of the morning.

I was very impressed with the hotel during our stay there. The staff were extremely helpful and all spoke fluent English. The rooms were pretty much the same as you find elsewhere in Paris, a bit small but they were build over a century ago so somewhat like New York City, they are small but have lots of character. The location is brilliant as well, right next to a metro hub stop that will take you anywhere you want to go and also next to many shops, restaurants, ATMs, and cafes. We walked from here to Notre Dame in about 40 minutes and the sights along the way were beautiful.

Good location, near Republique. Nice hotel, a little bit better than other Paris hotels in this price-​range, but the people are nice and helpful and the breakfast is ok.

Belle façade et endroit très calme où vous pourrez dormir tranquille. Sinon les chambres sont très simples et l’accueil assez froid. Juste une nuit m’a suffit…
