Hôtel Raphaël

A really charming hotel. The staff is wonderful. While this is not modern luxury, the charm factor makes up for that. The rooms seem to be unique in décor. The bar is really wonderful. Ambience is why you come here… No automated curtains, no iPad controlled lighting, just charm and good service. The morning breakfast buffet was simple but good. The bar on the ground floor and on the roof are my favorite parts of the hotel. We are looking forward to our return.

Awful. Don’t waste your time. We spent over an hour waiting for drinks, were never brought macaroons (which were included in every purchase) and were ignored and served after multiple tables that sat down 20 to 30 minutes after us. Horrible experience. The staff is rude, and the drinks are NOT worth anywhere near 20 euro.
We have been to both the Four Seasons hotel and The Peninsula and had far superior service. Seriously– don’t ever come here unless you’re in the mood to be disappointed.

An old Parisian beauty that needs a refreshment. I stayed a few days and the hotel is old style nice. However the rooms are in need of refreshment. The carpet in my room was stained; internet just does not work. You barely get a signal everywhere in the hotel and I could barely check my email. So if you are in Paris and want to stay connected, go elsewhere. The restaurant as well is need of a new Chef. I was served an uncooked rack of lamb that was all fat and muscle. Sent it back to the kitchen and when I got it back and I still could not cut it and asked for a steak knife… They did not have it. I ended up not eating. They served dinner on the roof top of the hotel and not in the main dining room. It was 55 ° F and we had dinner with blankets. I made the reservation for the restaurant; no Monsieur; we only serve on the roof top ??. The rooms have also poor noise insulation and I heard the people next door until they went to bed. The concierge and some of the staff were pleasant. To conclude I do believe Raphael does not deserve to be in the LHW portfolio and is more 4 stars than 5.

We stayed at this hotel for a week and really liked it. It reeks of history and old time elegance. The entrance is grand and so cool. Tucked away on a side street right off the Champs and soon to next door to the Pennisula Paris so it’s a good spot.
Rooms are huge (rare) and the bathrooms are so nice. Great products and awesome shower.
The bar is famous and not as expensive as you might think. Great feel in the whole hotel, you can just feel Helmut Newton shooting the famous shots here. Lot’s of cool history.

This hotel is unlike any other — it has old world charm but is updated for comfort and truly makes you feel like royalty. The rooftop bar/​restaurant open May-​Sept has stunning views of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe. Drinks won’t come cheap though (15E for a beer!). The breakfast spread is included and offers eggs, yogurts, fruits, and pastries (chocolate croissants to die for) as well as delicious fresh squeezed orange juice. I have stayed here 3+ times and have loved it more with every visit.

Fancy client lunch purposes only. They do a good business lunch menu — E + P + D and an accompanying glass of wine. Good service and great madelines to go with coffee afterwards.

Pour l’ambiance Cosy de ses salons où Chantal Thomas faisait ses défilés de lingerie, et où j’ai eu le plaisir d’organiser des séminaires ou des rencontres avec la presse.
Mais aussi pour sa terrasse en toiture très agréable au printemps pour y boire une verre ou même y déjeuner le midi.

First of all, I wanted to eat at Akrame, the number one newcomer inParis. It was impossible to get a table there, so the host recommended Raphael. I was starving, tired and in need of a nice place.

I walk there and the place is a fine hotel and i’m dressed with a casual t– shirt, the worst look. Who knew: I should buy some clothes before in Champs Elysee or something.
This was a degusation, it was ok, i just wanted more food.
I had the tourteau decortique (33 euro), the langoustines thermidor (40 euro), the Belle tartelette (32 euro) and a bottle of Connetable Talbot 07 red wine (65 euro), and a cappuccino (7 euro). At the end it was the second best place where i ate in Paris.
The pros: the staff made me feel conformable even when i was dressed too casual. It was pricey, but in Paris and in a nice place was worth it. More if you have no idea of the good places around.
The décor is very posh: the floor carpet tyles imitation Carrara marble give a chic design style.
The waitress couldn’t b emore charming, she gave an extra star to the place. She spoke spanish and we could really understand each other. She even recommended me clothing stores outside Champs Elysees. Even Amandine Chaignot, the 32 chef, went outside to salute some costumers.
So it is a good place, gourmet style, fancy. A good location if you are lost in the night and clueless about Paris culinary life.

Great location 1block off Champs and near the Arc. Metro, station outside the door. Rooms are high ceiling very traditional French, Louis the something style with crystal chandelier in the living room. Incredible roof top garden to watch Eiffel Tower light show at night. It’s not the George V but you don’t pay those prices either.

Le Raphaël is a superb hotel. Truly one of a kind. The location is amazing, its classic, luxury and artful all together. staying there made my business-​pleasure. Sophisticated, efficient in every sense, the next level in luxury hotels.

Arriving in Paris for the start of y honeymoon was excited and nerve-​wrecking at the same time. I was nervous about the language barrier, comfort and my enjoyment level. All those issues were put to rest by the wonderful staff at the Raphaël.
The hotel itself is quaint but grand, functional but opulent, and comfortable all around. When we first arrived, the kind staff let us know our room was not ready. So, they held our bags and treated us to a cocktail in their beautiful bar. There we sat amongst red velvet, orange glowing lights, and scruffy Parisian dog and sipped champagne. It was a great kick-​off to the days ahead.
Our room was quite large. A corner room which gave us several sets of windows and one balcony with a stunning view of the Arc De Triomphe. The bed was large and had a view of the TV, which had American programs and movies to rent. The bathroom was also large, with a separate tub and shower and was very clean.
We had room service for several meals and were very satisfied each time with the flavor and quality of the food. In fact, the bolognese I had in my room was the best pasta I had in Paris.
The front desk staff and concierge were also very accommodating. We often had questions about the city, requested taxis, and even shipped a package all with the help of a smiling staff.
For the money and star-​rating, this hotel gives a lot of bang for the buck. I would recommend getting a larger room and really using the property. Beautiful!

Je n’ai testé que la terrasse sur le toit, c’est un vrai paradis avec une vue imprenable, une ambiance cosy et végétale, des verres de vin délicieux (20 euros le verre environ) accompagnés d’assiettes d’olives… Miam ! Idéal pour un rendez-​vous romantique…

Cadre élégant, ambiance feutrée, agréable pour boire un verre au calme et à l’abri de la foule. Service hôtelier digne de ce nom! La restauration est très correcte sans plus. La terrasse est exceptionnelle mais il faut réserver à l’ avance.

Palace parisien confidentiel
Vrai mais discret palace parisien, sans chichis, avec de somptueuses chambres, idéales pour une nuit en amoureux (lit gigantesque !). Champagne et gâteau d’anniversaire nous y attendaient. Seuls bémols : — le bar anglais, superbe, mais qui ferme à 23h (nous nous sommes retrouvés le bec dans l’eau au retour du dîner !) — le petit-​déjeuner, standard.

Waow place for having a drink or a meeting !

La chambre que j’ai occupée était confortable et vraiment belle, mais la décoration était trop vieillote. Le bar est trop petit. Le petit déjeuner est bien, le service très bien.

Un superbe établissement où la discrétion permet d’être assurée.
Pour les rendez vous d’affaire c’est très important.

Depuis 1925, les étrangers en rêvent, le show-​biz y donne rendez-​vous, les hommes politiques et chefs d’état y viennent en sortant du centre international de conférences, et les happy few Parisiens s’y rendent pour affaire ou par amour !
Le chef est connu de tous: Bertrand Merlette y règne depuis pas mal d’années comme il dit; demandez-​lui son Mojito, spécialité à base de rhum blanc et de menthe verte. A moins que vous né préfériez le thé garni.
Ce monument de beauté offre un bar des plus luxueux, d’acajou sombre éclairé de lumières tamisées, so british. La décoration confère au lieu une dimension intimiste et cosy.
Mais l’été, montez jusqu’à la terrasse du 7ème aux Jardins plein ciel: sublime vue à 360° depuis les jardins sur l’Arc de Triomphe pour boire un verre tout en prenant un bain de soleil.

Son bar est mythique. L’endroit a ses habitués, ce qui fait également parti de son charme. L’ambiance plutôt tamisée n’est pas sans rappeler celle des films des années 40. A découvrir ou redécouvrir sans se priver.

Endroit sympa dont la terrasse dont sur le tout paris. Un des lieux qui devrait etre un des plus réputé mais qui pourtant n’est pas parmis les plus connus au sein du cercle des etudiants.

D’abord le cadre exceptionnel: le bar, le tableau de Turner dans le hall, l’ascenseur d’accès à la terrasse.
Ensuite la substance :
— bar: quelques spécialités de coktails et d’apéritifs donc certains classiques suprenants (le simple Campari orange par exemple)
— le restaurant: service négligé et nourriture moyenne (réputation surfaite)
— la terrasse: un cadre unique quand il fait beau les soirs d’été, nourriture quelconque mais mangeable et personne né vient pour l’assiette; attention réservation deux trois jours à l’avance au minimum (Le raphël vous rappelle le matin même pour confirmer ou annuler)
La clientèle: Stéphanie est gentille car il y quelques croustillantes anecdotes de clientèle très mal élevée…qui font partie de la légende du lieu…

Un réel coup de coeur !
On né peut que aimer cet endroit qui a su, contrairement aux autres palaces parisiens, conserver son authenticité et son charme. Le personnel est évidement au top de la gentillesse et de la discrétion sans discrimination, ni de regard hautain. Les suites sont magnifiques, rideau velours rouge, boiserie ancienne, lit au top, king size, tout est perfect rien à redire ! La vue sur la tour eiffel, imanquable ! Le toit terrasse avec l’échiquier géant, le bar si cosy… un endroit de rêve hyper romantique. Seul bémol, j’apprécie moyennent le restaurant, un peu bruyant, une ambiance froide qui gâche un peu le plaisir de bouche !

Une vue superbe sur la Tour Eiffel
Si l’on a la chance de se retrouver dans une chambre donnant sur la Tour Eiffel, on oubliera vite le reste du monde et on sera ravis d’avoir choisi cet hôtel du 16ème ! De belles chambres spacieuses, élégance et confort s’y épousent à notre grande joie ! Et la nuit est douce et pleine de rêves dans leurs immenses lits…

Un endroit, une âme, une ambiance…
Tout est parfait dans cet hôtel réputé pour sa confidentialité. Le service est sans défaut, les suites junior sont sublimes (balcon et vue sur la tour Eiffel). Le lit est immense et je me sentais comme une princesse endormie lovée dans une douzaine de coussins moelleux…

Terrasse
Cette terrasse restaurant située au 7ème étage de ce palace (Leading Small Hotels of the World) est incontournable. En effet, ce lieu permet une vue à 360° de la capitale. Le menu déjeuner est au prix de 62 € et celui du dîner à 80 €, le service y est discret et prévenant, carte des vins peu onéreuse et très diversifiée. Je recommande ce restaurant surtout pour les amoureux car le cadre, la capitale et le repas seront les 3 maîtres mots d’une soirée inoubliable.
