Just a short walk from the Place Monge metro in the Latin Quarter, Hotel Saint Christophe was a lovely experience for us. We were tired from our long train ride from St Malo, and looking forward to unwinding. The location is perfect– on a quiet street but close to the metro and even within walking distance to several major attractions. In fact, we mostly walked during our stay here. They have a key system, and you leave your key with the front desk when you come and go– something we weren’t used to. The hotel staff is very friendly and spoke fluent English. They were accommodating as we kept coming back after-hours when the doors were locked. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The building a classic and very beautiful, both inside and out. We had double french door windows in our room which made for a very nice breeze. We found a great pastry shop a block away as well as quite a few yummy restaurants. We were very happy with our stay here.

This is a great hotel in the Latin Quarter. The rooms are nice and clean and the staff are very accommodating. Location is great and all in all a great place to stay when in Paris. I would happily come back here again. It’s very close to many of the attractions in town and there are loads of great cafes, markets, bakeries and bars nearby.

We stayed three nights at this small hotel in the Latin Quarter in Paris. The hotel is located very close to the Rue Monge metro station on Line 7(1 – 2 minutes). In the vicinity of the hotel several good restaurants(if you are a fan of Vietnamese food, check out Foyer de Vietnam a few minutes from the hotel), bars and cafes are located. The hotel is however located on a side street so it is a quiet yet central location. It is possible to walk(approx 10 – 15 min) to several of the major sights in the city(such as the Louvre, Notre Dame etc). The room was pretty small but still had everything we needed. It was clean and the overall feeling was that it was well-run and kept. The bed was comfortable and there was free Wifi access(as well as free Internet access at a computer in the lobby). The room also had small desk, TV(mostly French channels but a few English as well), mini bar and a fan. There was however no A/C(not a problem in late June but I am not sure how hot it will be in July/August). I did not see any safe but did not really look since we carried few valuables on this trip. The bathroom was bigger than expected with a bathtub. Soap, shampoo and shoe shine(?) was provided in the bathroom. The service was mostly friendly(different people at different times) and they spoke English(not always the case in France). The main issue I had with the staff/service was that they did not seem to watch the keys to the rooms as carefully as I would have hoped. At times when we came back to the hotel the reception could be empty with the keys left unattended. The breakfast was included when I booked and it was decent(coffee/tea(chocolate, croissants, different types of bread, orange juice and cereal with yogurt) but not something I would pay that much extra for. The staff serving breakfast were however very friendly and cheerful. All things considered we had a very good stay at Saint Cristophe and would definitely consider staying here the next time we go to Paris.

Very small hotel but we were quite impressed with the service and location(latin quarter only feets away from Rue Mouffetard with awesome restaurants)
