It was very difficult to find tasty and complete vegetarian meals in Paris, and Houdeye’s had that and more! Located right next to the Gare de Lyon, it’s a great Lebanese place that you can’t miss. My mom and I came here twice– once for lunch, and again for dinner on the same day. For lunch, I had the Halloumi Sandwich, and my mom had the Falafal Sandwich. The Halloumi was soft and sweet, and the bread was crispy and thick. The sauce complimented the bread/cheese combo. There was the perfect amount in it. My mom’s falafal was pretty good, except there was not enough sauce in the sandwich. It was a little dry. For dinner, we both got the Vegetarian Platter. It was essentially a sampler platter of about six or seven of their vegetarian options including hummus, cooked eggplant, vegetarian dolmas, tabouli, and a falafal ball. I was so full at the end I could barely walk the five feet to my hotel. The service was wonderful. I think Houdeye’s is a family run establishment because our server’s family came in and hung out for a long time behind the counter. I know Lebanese isn’t the kind of food one normally eats in Paris, but I was starved for fresh veggies and this was the perfect place.

Fast Food libanais !
