Une bonne pizzeria dans le quartier !
Ambiance classique et simple dans ce restaurant qui peut accueillir pas mal de monde. Une carte avec des pizzas mais pas uniquement. Le choix des pizzas n’est pas très vaste ni trop originale, mais l’important c’est de bien manger non ?
Le midi, service et agréable. C’est la 4 fromages qui fera mon déjeuner ! Excellent pizza, croustillante avec des fromages pas trop salés.
A refaire !

It is a welcoming, comfortable restaurant, where English is spoken as well as French. The menu includes wonderful old Italian favorites as well as things you may not think of having at home. Our charming waiter is from Greece, spoke perfect English and provided wonderful service. The food was spectacular, great pasta’s and The best caprese salad ! Portions were so generous, couldn’t fit desert! The price was great. All in all a wonderful experience.

Arriver à 14 personnes un dimanche midi et sans réserver, il fallait oser… on l’a fait et on a eu une belle grande table rien que pour nous ! :)
Parfois la chance vous sourit… alors bon appétit !
Après le service a été un peu long, mais bon le restaurant était bien rempli, et nous mêmes nous étions une grande table.
(Ils devraient peut être songer à embaucher une nouvelle personne s’il y a souvent du monde comme ça)
Dans l’assiette c’est vraiment bon, les saveurs d’Italie sont bien représentées et les prix sont dans la moyenne
Les pizzas sont fines et bien cuites, les glaces de chez Pedone juste excellentes
Le tiramisu manqué peut être un peu de légèreté et d’air et les pâtes un peu de pep’s mais le ressenti général est très bon
Pour la bonne santé de votre portefeuille ils ont même un menu à 15 € valable apparemment tout le temps (E/​P ou P/​D sur une sélection certes classique mais carrément efficace)
Conclusion: une très bonne adresse italienne à Paris, j’y reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

Located very close to our hotel, we opted for Il Pescatore strictly due to its convenience.
We walked in at around 8pm and it was fairly quiet, so we were seated fairly quickly.
Our waitress spoke English (as our French is basic) and we placed our order (2 pizzas).
After about ½ hour we began to wonder where our food was.
Our waitress came by about 5 minutes later with bread and salads. She apologized and said she forgot to punch in our order. She said our main course would be ready in about 10 minutes. By this time, the place was fairly full, so we only saw her sporadically. The salads were mixed greens with a very light dressing of olive oil and balsamic. It was very refreshing and every bit of green was devoured.
The food, when it arrived, was excellent. I had the 4 cheese pizza… light crust, rich sauce, great combination of cheeses. My dining companion had the ham pizza… he said it was excellent as well.
So, great food, excellent service recovery by the waitress (we were not charged for the salads)…would have been a strong 5 had it not been for the initial failure to order our food.

We went to the louvre on our second day in Paris and ended up crashing and burning. We woke up around 9pm and needed food. Didn’t want to go out for a whole dining experience so we opted for this pizza restaurant just down the street. Super nice staff helped me order take out pizza and salad. Fresh and flavorful ingredients very very tasty. This turned out to be just what we needed.

Came here for dinner on a Thursday and had:
1. Involtini d’aubergine avec mozzarella
2. Fritto misto
3. Taglietelle Boscaiola
1. Very basic, nothing special. Tiny amount of mozzarella.
2. The caper sauce was good as were the shrimp. The calamari rings were not fresh, giving it that spongy thawed texture. Could it be… BUNG? (look up the story on NPR)
3. I was hesitant to order this since while in Europe, I feel like I should be ordering only fresh homemade pasta. However I took a chance and what is the biggest faux pas when serving out-​of-​the-​box pasta? Overcooking it! I tried getting over it with the sauce, which was decent but not particularly interesting.
We wanted dessert but was so displeased that I didn’t want to sink any more hope and cash into this «pescatore» (who actually only had ONE fish dish, the plat du jour). If you MUST eat here, the pizza might be safer, but no guarantees. Skip if you can.

I ate here on a sunny warm day, and sat next to the street with doors totally open, giving effect of eating outside. But it turns out, the street (4 lanes) is quite noisy – too noisy for me.
I also think I must have ordered the wrong thing: I got the chef pizza, which didn’t have cheese as it turns out. Totally my fault for not reading carefully, but it was so bland, almost a little gross. So I’m disappointed w the food, but maybe something else would’ve been good. Wait staff unfriendly but efficient.
I had 4 parties in my immediate vicinity and all of them were American. There didn’t se to be any French people here. Not a good sign in my book.
Overall, a disappointing experience.

This little Italian eatery is located right across the street from our hotel in the Latin Quarter. What a find! Expertly prepared veal Milanese, delicious artichoke and calamari salad and the absolute best pizza I’ve had in years. Light and flavorful with a perfect crust and the freshest ingredients. Don’t let the modest number of reviews keep you from one of the best late dinner spots in Paris!

Best place for pizza around. I really like the bold flavors and crust. I guess there are other dishes here too. Nice spot to bring a casual date. I eat a alone usually and get a carafe of wine and a pizza. Good prices (well you know for Paris …)

What an amazing and lucky find. We were wandering around the area during lunch and it started raining, so we went into the first decent (non-​touristy) restaurant we could find. Luckily, that was Pescatore. This was one of the best casual Italian meals I’ve ever had.
We started with the caprese salad. I’m from the US, so the quality of our food is not that great. Nowhere was this more evident to me than with the caprese. The mozzarella was so fresh that you could actually taste the quality of the cheese and milk. It wasn’t the typical bland cheese you find in the US. It was creamy and delicious.
We had pizzas for our mains. They were simply outstanding. The crust was cooked perfectly: chewy with a slight char on the edge. And the ingredients on the pizza itself were excellent. We had the Regina and Margherita, both of which were great.
We got to chat with the pizza maker a bit and he was really gracious and fun. All in all, a great way to spend a rainy Paris afternoon. The service was great: really laid-​back and not pushy at all. We will definitely make a point to return here next time we are in Paris.

I really wish I could give ½ stars, if so I would rate this place at 3 ½ stars.
First of all the only reason I would give 3 ½ stars is because the main dish (pasta) was just okay. But based on several factors, I bumped it up to 4 stars.
The Pasta: I ordered the rigatoni in cheese sauce. It was a bit bland, but with salt and pepper and some added Parmesan cheese it tasted good. My boyfriend ordered the spaghetti bolognese, again very bland and just okay tasting (reason for 3 stars).
Everything Else: But the bread was delicious (warm and soft inside with perfect crunchy crust), the house red wine tasted great and the service was attentive and friendly.
By the way, some guests near us ordered pizza and it looked and smelled divine.
As with my other reviews of Paris restaurants, I would give this place a second chance (and order the pizza) if I were to be visiting longer than my 2 weeks.

Je crois qu’un avis super positif de plus né fera pas de mal.
Bref, ce restaurant est super, les pizzas géniales, on peut prendre à emporter et ils sont en général très rapide: 2 – 4 pizza en 5 – 7 minutes même aux heures de pointes, je dis bravo (mais je dis bien à emporter, sinon, c’est une 15aine de minutes sur place). Et c’est sans oublier les prix qui sont carrément dans la moyenne (c’est même moins cher que certains livreurs de pizza sur Internet) pour un restaurant qui est vraiment au-​dessus.

Au début pour être franc, je croyais que c’était un restaurant un peu désert genre mafieux.
Quelle erreur ! C’est toujours plein au heures de repas et il y a un turn over impressionnant.
Je n’ai jamais eu de mauvaise surprise ici: il y a toujours une place pour vous, il y a du choix à la carte, et les plats sont excellents.
Cela se prolonge jusqu’au café qui m’a donné envie d’en commander un second la première fois que je l’ai goûté.
Que demande le peuple? Un autre café peut être?

J’ai très souvent l’occasion d’aller dans ce restaurant italien, et je le conseille vraiment. Le restaurant est plein tous les midis, l’équipe est très accueillante et toujours souriante. La carte est assez complète pour un restaurant italien de quartier, des salades et antipasti, viandes (leurs escalopes sont excellentes) poissons, les inévitables pizzas et les pâtes. Je souhaite développer sur les pizzas qui sont merveilleuses, tout part d’une pâte très bien dosée et cuite, et des aliments très frais et bien choisis. Bref, n’hésitez pas si vous cherchez un endroit agréable dans le 5ème. Les 5 étoiles sont justifiées compte tenu du style du restaurant et du prix raisonnable de la carte.

What a nice surprise. We walked through the rue Ste Michelle area and felt it was way too touristy. So we walked toward the Pantheon until we came to an uncommercialized looking area. There were 3 restaurants in the area and we are glad we picked Il Pescatore. The food was unexpected to be so good!
First– the bread was off the hook great with the olive oil
My wife and I shared the Ricotta, tomato and lettuce salad with basil– YUM!
Then we shared the baked eggplant parmigana– DOUBLE YUM!
Then we shared the Veal Saltimbocca with an amazing sauce that blew us away!
(however– the wines are not so good!)
BUt if you want low priced great food– go here!

Il Pescatore est LE restaurant de mon enfance… Je suis née et j’ai grandi à Paris et surtout dans le Vème arrondissement (quartier Latin)… La rue des Écoles était là où ma mère avait son salon de coiffure et je connaissais tous les commerçants de cette rue.
Le restaurant Il Pescatore appartient aux parents de mes amies d’enfance, Stéphanie, qui habite en Italie, et Titta qui vit dans la rue des Écoles (!!). Leurs parents avaient deux restaurants à l’époque, Il Vezuvio et Il Pescatore, l’un en face de l’autre… même cuisine, même carte, même service mais allez savoir pourquoi, l’un faisait un carton et l’autre rien!!! Il Vezuvio a donc été vendu à l’hôtel et Il Pescatore a été le seul restaurant de la famille…
On s’amusait comme des folles dans ce restaurant, on jouait les serveuses, on faisait des pizzas complètement difformes et on mangeait à toutes heures sans limite… LE PARADIS POUR MOI…
Puis nous avons grandi, eu notre vie et le restaurant est devenu notre point de rencontre, rendez vous entre amis et en famille presque tous les samedis midis!!!
Depuis quelques années le restaurant a été mis en gérance et c’est un ami à moi qui le tient, il a transformé beaucoup de choses, quelques éléments de déco, la carte, et des gros travaux dans la cuisine, mais les plats sont toujours aussi bons, même meilleurs… Le cachet familiale du restaurant est toujours présent.
Je vous conseille plus particulièrement, l’escalope marsala avec des haricots verts frais, un tiramisu en dessert accompagné d’un excellent café…

Très bon resto italien avec de la cuisine typique. Les plats du jour sont à expérimenter, pour changer un peu !
NB: le resto m’a été recommandé par une connaissance italienne, c’est un signe ! :)
