La Delicieuse Marais

Una pequeña pastelería con dulces con muy buena pinta pero algo caros y algunos platos preparados. Las rosquillas que exponen fuera son una sobredosis de azúcar pero los pastelillos que probé estaban ricos. Eso sí, la atención es nefasta.

This cute little bakery was conveniently located next to our hotel (believe me, it took a lot of will power not to go here EVERY DAY that I was in Paris!) sold the most tantalizing slices of cakes, fresh baguettes out of the oven and other dainty pastries. They also have a small refrigerated section for grab-​and-​go food like sandwiches and pre-​made meals.
We were waiting for our ride to the airport and hadn’t had lunch yet, so we decided to try one of their packaged meals. The madame behind the counter heated our chicken curry with basmati rice and motioned for us to sit down at the only table available. She gave us silverware to enjoy our hot meal and boy, it was delicious! Of course, this was followed by a chocolate éclair that was actually even better than the one I had at Laduree the day before. Who knew this tiny bakery has great items that bring on the wow factor?! Quite affordable too!
