Such a beautiful boat ride, it’s a must, and the tour guide was fantastic. She knew several languages and translated frequently. All in all, very pleased :)

Photo link: Photo link:

A boat ride along the Seine River in Paris is a must, especially at night when the City of Lights truly sparkles. The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and famous historical buildings galore, are veiled with an inexplicable magic as you gaze upon them from the river. Not to say that they aren’t as stunning from a view on foot as they are on a boat. Strolling along the riverbank is quite pleasant as well. Since it was Christmastime, I was lucky to never be too far away from an outdoor Christmas market, so a cup of vin chaud(hot mulled wine) and a walk along the river became one of my favorite activities in Paris!

I love the River Seine. I love everything about it. Taking the cruise, seeing it from the banks, the gorgeous bridges spanning the Seine… but i think my fave is walking along the Seine, which i did on my last day in Paris, while taking dozens and dozens of photos. The vendors along the Seine are quaint and delightful with their vintage wares. I’ll be back, Seine…

Basically… the Seine smells like rotten piss. It’s not as glamorous as it seems. It is still enjoyable though. Wonderful location for a picnic or a nice stroll. It’s even better in the summer. They import sand and the place is lively throughout the night. Couples dancing the night away and bands playing. Tour down the Seine on the boat was quite tedious in my opinion. Pont Neuf has amazing sunsets.

It’s such a Parisian delight to walk up and down the Seine and pretend to be a Parisian. The river is relatively clean, and outfitted with bridges, trees, and lovely boats. It was a definite pleasure to walk up and down this waterway and enjoy the sights of Paris.

Whenever I visit a city, I always want to visit the waterways. Cities are born out of water and in the case of Paris, this means the Seine. There are almost 40 bridges crossing the Seine so it is easy to criss cross the city by foot and you can always stop partway across and get some great views of the city including the Eiffel Tower rising up above the water. If you want to venture even further onto the water, there are plenty of tour boats where you can float along soaking up the views of one of the greatest cities in the world. If you’d rather experience the Seine by foot, a walkways runs alongside the bank and you can take a leisurely stroll or enjoy a pastry and cuppa whilst relaxing at one of the benches that dot the walkway.
