Do you like bad service and getting ripped off? Then you should eat here and pay cash. The server will short change you since you don’t want to carry all that heavy cash. Our bill came up to about 30 euro so we gave the server a 50 note. He brought us back 10. We told him he still owes us 10 more. He said he had no change then went away. After a while he came back and gave us 5 more euros so I told him he still owes us 5 more. Eventually a 20 euro bill materialized when I refused to let him steal my money. This guy either failed math through his entire life or is trying to pull a fast one on unsuspecting tourists. Before all this happened I also saw 2 tables come in and leave after a while due to not being served. Since this place gets quite busy you will likely wait a bit to be seated. But even after you are seated the servers will ignore you unless you are assertive and actively flag them down repetitively. The 2 tables just looked at the menu for about 15 minutes each and left while we finished our food. You expect a place like this to be a tourist trap but you also expect a place like this located in the freaking Louvre to have more class and non-crooked servers. If you want to try Angelina just walk a bit outside the museum and visit the actual Angelina and skip this place.

Really expensive but they deserve it I guess. Inside the louvre so it’s the perfect pit stop after several hours of walking around. I had the most amazing smoked salmon salad ever. We also got sea bass, foie gras, orange juice, and cheesecake, which came out to like € 90. The convenience of the restaurant really offsets the price because who wants to wait in line to get back inside the louvre? Would recommend if you’re doing an art marathon day.

This is the Angelina’s inside The Louvree — I love Angelina’s, so i love this place. The only question i have is. where is the art work. The room they used for this little café is quite lovely, but the walls are amazingly bare — i say that because this place is in the biggest and best museum in the world! It would have been cool in keeping with the theme to at least display emerging artists or something. the walls just looked so bare. however, this is the perfect pit stop while touring The Louvre for some wine and a nosh. if you have never had the hot cocoa. you need to do that. Angelina’s is famous for it.

Wine. Bread. Butter. Great art. Does it get any better? Well at the Richelieu it can. This not a juice bar at a museum, but a full on restaurant with great food. Knowing that we had at least another hour of great art in front of us not willing to leave the Louvre precincts, we found the Richelieu or the Angelina. I had the sea bass and my wife the steak tartare, both to die for and a great dessert. Our waiter was marvelous

Horrible service! If I could give them 0 stars I would have. The tea they served leaked leaves into the cup. When we asked for help getting an extra filter, the waiter simply told us the filter is in the pot and the left. We then tried several times trying to get service to order more food. After half an hour of trying, and him servings both tables next to us and can’t even be bothered to stop by, we gave up and left. This is the antithesis of Parisian experience!

Not what I would call a great dining experience — expensive for what you get, although the location and staff are definite pluses. The food is good, just expensive — after all, it is in the Louvre in a great location and that’s part of the price.

I really like this café. The location is awesome, within the Louvre. The view of the Louvre courtyard and pyramid is timeless. Service is friendly. We stopped early, and ordered pastry and champagne. Just the right indulgence after touring the Louvre. Very memorable experience on a par with the rest of the museum. I would love to have the opportunity to eat more items off the menu.

I debated about giving this five stars, there should certainly be nay sayers and I would understand but I will explain just hear me out. I had a croque monsieur which was good but not great, a little salad which was good and a couple delicious beers. And that’s one of the five star reasons. Beer in a glass while I sat on an outdoor patio overlooking the Cour Napoleon and the Louvre Pyramid, with a tiny little piece of the Eiffel Tower peaking over the Porte de Lions entrance. I had just seen the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and literally countless other pieces of art I had only seen in books. My head was reeling. And there I was sitting in the sun, having a beer and making small talk with the nice couple next to me. This could have been a hot dog cart, and with the surroundings being what they were, as nice a day as it was and how pleasant the people had been around me, well I hope never to be so jaded as that not being a five star meal.

cool spot to put your feet up when you’re doing the Louvre yet again. which is de rigueur when friends and family visit. or on first sundays of the month when the entry is free. will forever be a tourist in Paris and the view here is just prime.

Oui, the Louvre build an appetite for myself and my former love. We had a light lunch at the museum, Le Café Richelieu. I had a chicken sandwich and he had a croque monsieur. A happy ending with chocolate ice cream. I do not recommend Le Café Richelieu for dinner. Definitely a tourist trap indeed.
