I was trying to send a text and the waiter lead me to an area of the restaurant where he said there was good cell phone reception. Then, when out of view of others, he grabbed me and kissed me. I broke free and ran away from him. It was a truly frightening and upsetting experience.

Delicious breakfast. I had the pre fixed brunch with espresso, OJ, a croissant, two eggs and ham, and a small fruit cup. It was simple but delicious. My wife had a cheesy crêpe that looked and tasted great(I stole a bite!)

Mm finally a place with some serious petit dejeuner(breakfast)! There’s breakfast specials if you’re into several courses including coffee or tea. Also, omelettes! Finally. I’m quite into eggs for breakfast and don’t always want them served in a crêpe which seems to be the prevailing mode in Paris. I had a solid«create your own» omelette with ham, cheese, potatoes, and mushrooms. They have quite a few more choices as well. It was a bit pricey to get one with 4(they price them for 1, 2, 3 or 4 toppings) but I went for it. It was good(a little greasy though) and served with a mixed green and arugula salad which complemented it nicely. I also tried the café au lait which was quite good but a little pricey as well(5 euro). The service was okay. My mother and sister tried to order the pear crêpe(I forget the name) but it contained pears, pear ice cream(incredibly pear-like), and chocolate sauce… but they got the crêpe that was covered in Grand Marnier. Although I like Grand Marnier and appreciated the show of the server setting it on fire and pouring it over the crepes, my family members were not pleased with their booze soaked crepes. Especially when they had ordered the pear crepes. When we eventually were able to track down the server, he exchanged them at no cost… but it took a bit of time and was unfortunate. A bit too pricey for what it was, but it had some great menu items.

My fiancé and I visited Paris earlier this summer and was quite happy with our experience at Le Cercle Luxembourg. It was probably our most pleasant dining experience(when you take service into account) while we were there, to be honest. When we arrived at Le Cercle, the waiter handed us a menu. He spoke some English and was very understanding of our lack of French. We were very hungry and he recommended the breakfast special so we decided to go with that. We chose to go with outdoor seating because it was a very nice day, but I went inside to use the restroom and it was decorated quite nicely. It was very fast service. He first brought out coffee and croissants, then fruit, then eggs and ham with orange juice. The portion of food was pretty good and it was very delicious. When we got the bill it wasn’t bad at all for the amount of food we had especially comparing to other places we had eaten. The waiter was the sweetest. He even gave me a souvenir when we were leaving. If we ever return, I will definitely have to revisit this restaurant.

The«Confit de canard»(duck) was just perfect! Very suggested, tasty and not so expensive. The service a bit slow, but still ok!

This morning we paid 5.5 Euros for café americain. Don’t go there! I don’t appreciate being treated this way by Parisians!

Disapponited that Les Papilles was closed for lunch today but we stumbled upon this place after a few failed attempts and saw a pretty good prefix. We order a picket of vin an AOC Bouilly that was pretty reasonable. I opted for plat and dessert for 19.90 euro I’m sure that i paid a premium for the location but my food was actually very good. i ordered the salmon lunch special which came with basmati rice and some legumes. I requested my salmon to be cooked well i know most places usually cook it on the medium/rare side. The sorrel sauce it came in had a distinct flavor and begged for bread to sop it up with. I ordered cantal for my dessert and was presented with 3 larger than average pieces of cheese BON ! alongside a salad. Friend got the fish of the day she seemed to enjoy it and i didn’t see or hear any other tourists here while we were here. French businessmen talked shop among us so i don’t think its too touristy if you are trying to avoid places like that. we lingered for a little normal than i would have liked but the server was friendly and she indulged me in conversation which i appreciate. Food and location 4 stars price ration 2.5 I’ve had better food for less. I would return if in the area and Les Papilles is closed again sad face…
