Le Marijan

C’est un café — brasserie typique, sans décoration recherchée, qui propose une carte assez simple pour le déjeuner et le dîner. Un indice concernant les prix, très abordables: beaucoup d’étudiants se retrouvent ici le midi ou pour un café.
Il n’y a pas grand chose à en dire, un service correct, une terrasse assez grande qui donne sur le boulevard, dans un endroit qui n’a aucun charme particulier.

le marijan est un café /​tabac plutot sympathique le patron Robert est tres cool, la patronne Huguette plutôt chiante. c’est ainsi que ce tabac par l’antagonisme de ce couple qu’émane un coté charmant à ce café/​tabac du boulevard Arago !

Great brasserie in the heart of the 13eme Arrondissement. It’s a classy, old establishment that’s lost in brasserie’s nowadays. You feel like you’re walking more into a restaurant than into a brasserie, which can be nice, even if you’re just grabbing a coffee.
It’s all local clientele from around Boulevard Arago. Friends grabbing coffee, debating politics, dining alone. The brasserie reeks of authenticity, right down to the toilets, which are holes in the ground. (I had to partake in #2 and opted out of doing it at Marijan. Nothing worse than having to hover and poop).
The service was real French brasserie service. A fast, clean-​cut, abrupt (which to most would seem rude) waiter. I could go without all the friendly ass-​kissing service if I knew I could an awesome waiter like this guy every time.
The food was good, but not as great as I’d hoped. I was dying for an entrecôte frites when I got to Paris. Judging from a place, that by appearance, service, and location was perfect, I was hoping the food would be as well. Sadly the entrecôte was slightly more overcooked than I requested (I wanted medium rare) but the few hours I spent taking Paris in again made the experience worth it.

Le marijan c’est par excellence LE café des étudiants de la fac de. On y va, après les cours, après les TD, juste avant les partiels pour une dernière mise au point… Bref les serveurs ont l’habitude de nous et ont toujours un petit mot encourageant.
On y va souvent pour prendre un verre, les prix sont les mêmes que ceux pratiqués partout ailleurs et les plats sont plutôt bons (environ 15 euros)
