Fantastic spot! Heard about it from Anthony Bourdain going there. They have a daily special entrée + plat, ie appetizer & entrée for those using US terms. The sardine appetizer is excellent the feta appetizer is excellent. We both had the tartare smoked salmon salad and it is absolutely top notch. Don’t miss it!

I loved this place, small authentic French bistro. A party of four for diner, we ordered a cold salmon plater, that was amazing. Steak And chicken plates accompanied by a small green salad and delicious potatoes. The menu changes daily. Fresh sea food for the lunch menu. The service was great.

Authentic Parisian food, with a great location! Anthony Bourdain definitely recommended a great spot to eat.

Bonne cuisine, service (par la cuisinière) sympathique.
Assez bruyant, pas très copieux.
Très petit: juste une rangée de 7 tables biplaces accolées les unes aux autres, le long du comptoir.
Carte renouvelée tous les jours.
Clients du quartier qui viennent discuter en prenant un verre au comptoir.

This place is unassuming from the street, but the service is great and the food is delicious.
I had the salmon and my server recommended a great glass of wine. Not too expensive, the food came out when it was supposed to, and they played great music.
Like I said, doesn’t look like much. But give it a try. It’s great.

My first meal in Paris and absolutely one of my favorites.
I found this place via Unilocal (thanks!) and was so glad I got to experience some yummy home cooked French food. They have very good and very well-​priced wine as well as excellent dinner options. The menu seems to change daily with some unique options. Be sure to bring a translator if you aren’t fluent in French. Some of the ingredients are very unique and not as common in most cuisines.
I’m not sure what I ordered but the soup with the lard was amazing as well as everything else.
If you are in the Latin quarter, this place is must!

Ayant vu ce restaurant visité par Anthony Bourdain dans son émission «no reservations» je me suis dit: allons tester cette brasserie authentique dans la rue Mouffetard qui rime la plupart du temps avec attrape touristes.
C’est donc une agréable surprise de pouvoir goûter à une cuisine du terroir servie sans chichis par un personnel très accueillant.
J’ai commandé l’assiette du vilain petit canard composé de gésiers de poulet et canard accompagnés de tomates cerises, mâche et oeufs pochés.
Accompagnez le tout d’une bouteille de rosé et votre soirée est comblée!
J’y reviendrais le midi car la gérante m’a expliqué que si l’on commandait les fruits de mer ceux ci étaient servis directement par le poissonnier d’à côté!

The waitress/​cook/​owner? didn’t speak very much English but was friendly nonetheless.
We tried to order the steak tartare, plate of meats and cheeses and a plate of seafood but told that would be too much food. She was right…
We got the meat and seafood and while not the ideal choice to mix the two, it was still amazing.
Would definitely stop by if in the area to eat, drink, relax and enjoy the sights of Paris…

Order seafoods. The other stuff is okay but the seafood is to die for.

Located on one of the oldest streets in Paris!
…So charming.
As a bonus, the Rue Mouffetard Market is also located on the same street.
…What is better than being able to pick up a baguette and some beautiful cheese after lunch!

Popped in here on the recommendation of a friend. The food is simple, fresh authentic and cheap. Amusing thing, while we were eating we observed the lady there walk down the road to the baker to get fresh bread. Yum.

Juste en face du bar historique, Le verre à pied, au coeur de la rue Mouffetard, Les Papillons est un bar-​restaurant comme on les aime: Authentique ! Cuisine terroir et belle carte des vins assurent à ce troquet une clientèle d’habitués qui en redemandent… Il faut dire qu’ici, on né plaisante pas avec les bonnes choses: la viande (et même les tripes pour les plus courageux) et de bons crus issus de notre cher terroir. Très bon rapport qualité/​prix. Vous y reviendrez dès que possible.
