We enjoyed our dinner due to the ambiance and friendly service. However, our food was not as good as expected. Price/Quality: 3 stars Our appetizer were snails in some kind of seasoning/sauce. The taste was a bit off — the odor of the snails was too strong for the sauce. The snails were also not properly cleaned(though still acceptable). I had a vegetable ratatouille — all the vegetables tasted similar(as if it had been cooked too long). My boyfriend’s duck was ok, but nothing exceptional. Service: 5 stars The servers were really nice to us, even engaging us in conversation. This contributed positively to our dinner. Ambiance: 5 stars Really nice décor. Trendy and a bit hipster. :)

My wife and I had an amazing meal at this restaurant on our recent honeymoon. The menu changes daily based on fresh market ingredients, and the service was also friendly and attentive. As tourists with minimal knowledge of French, our server took the time to translate each item and describe how it is prepared. We started with a crab, mango and avocado appetizer that was absolutely delicious. My wife ordered sausage with apples and mashed potatoes, I enjoyed my duo of fish — prepared as a mousse and a filet. For dessert we got a cherry clafoutis and the café gourmand — a shot of espresso with three mini desserts, including crème brûlée. The restaurant takes reservations but we were able to walk in and get one of the free tables when they opened at 7pm. Highly recommend this place; my wife and I will certainly return if we go to Paris again.

Amazing! Truly spectacular meal. Warm, cozy atmosphere, personal attention, well-curated menu and wine list. Wonderful authentic meal. Agree with Beth that Stefan is a wizard of fresh ingredients. He doesn’t even have a freezer in the restaurant!

Delicious from start to finish. Went here on a recommendation and came back a second night. Service is friendly and the food is terrific. The menu changes daily dependent on what is in season and the chef Stefan is a master with fresh ingredients. First night i tried the duck breast and it was perfectly cooked — a bit of crispy skin on the outside and juicy duck meat within. The desert I wish I could replicate again right now — Crème a l’orange with a nut crust. i can only describe it as heavenly. The chacuterie plate and fois gras, we’re both outstanding. When we come back to Paris we’ll come here.

I could not ask for anything better. Absolutely wonderful. My mother and I were spending a week in Paris and ended up eating here twice. The service is outstanding and the food is top notch. From the terrine, fish, steak, french onion soup, crème-brule with rhubarb, and great wine of course. Helen the waitress was so very attentive and welcoming, and steph the chef was very skilled. I also have a peanut allergy and they made me feel very comfortable and ensured everything I was eating was safe. Everything is made fresh to order, nothing frozen, and the flavors are superb. I will visit again when I return to Paris.

Outstanding new addition to the neighborhood — what a hidden gem!(I don’t think it will stay a secret much longer). The chef used to work for Alain Ducasse, and he invented the famous brunch at La Gare, which I’ve taken out-of-town visitors to several times. Dinner last night was outstanding: Our appetizers were fabulous, moist homemade terrine with homemade pickles(in a jar with hot peppers to give the a little pickels extra kick) and a delicious onion relish/chutney, plus eggs cooked in a little coccotte with delicious mushrooms & cream. For a main course, my wife had perfectly cooked & seasoned fish — a healthy portion, too! — and I had one of the better steaks I’ve had in Paris. I was shocked to learn it was Black Angus Beef straight from Arkansas, USA! it was prepared in a classic French way, served above a layer sweet cooked onions in jus. The steak was just blackened on the outside to give it that wonderful charcoal crust flavor that makes my mouth water just writing about it the next day!
