My hometown in Puerto Rico is named after Saint Germain… so while walking through Paris we ran into this place and we had to go in. And we are so glad we did! Hugo the waitress was awesome. He speaks three languages and serves with passion. We had tapas… beers…a great french onion soup and an overall great time at the place. We would love to go back when visiting Paris.

You’re in PARIS, don’t waste your time at a tourist trap like this. The moules frites were bland and shriveled. They were bathed in a sauce that tasted like salted dishwater. The prices were absolutely outrageous considering the low quality of the food. I lived in Paris for 3 months and I learned a few things about eating out. Please, don’t go to the first place with an english menu. Get out of your comfort zone, off the beaten path, and try a small neighborhood joint. The waiters spoke very good english and were very friendly but I honestly can’t give a better rating because the food is the entire reason for going, and their food sucks.

Good croque monsieur with side salad! I was honestly expecting a little better, but it was still very good. The place has a wonderful atmosphere as well. I went here after being turned away from a few places in the area that were too busy. I was coming from the Eiffel Tower, and on a mission to try a croque monsieur. The place was quiet, not too crowded, and ended up being exactly what I was looking for. They had a menu version in English, and the waitress spoke decent English. I tried ordering a tap water but instead got a 5 Euro glass bottle of Evian. I’m not blaming them for this though, because tap water doesn’t seem to be a common thing in Paris, and I was the one at fault for any language gap in this situation. Still. water shouldn’t cost half the meal price.

We went late on a Friday night to get a light appetizer and drink. I had seen some previous reviews and was intrigued by this«Kevin» the waiter. Kevin was there and did not disappoint. He was so funny, charming and nice. He took our picture, then took his picture then took everyone’s picture. Then took multiple selfies that were so funny! Oh, and the food was good, too, but go see Kevin. Seriously.

This is probably one of the worst dinners I have eaten in Paris. I thought Paris is a city of culinary art, but it’s been disappointing so far. It’s located in a very touristy location so waiters all speak English. It seemed like a nice little café/restaurant from the outside. I saw few people getting the mussels here, so I thought I would give it a try. It came with side of fries. One word, BLAND. I had much better mussels in New York and San Francisco. It was essentially just steamed mussels in water. Tasted like they forgot to add the ingredients. The shells of mussels were also kind of dirty that I stopped eating at mid point. Even French fries was bland. Our next table was salting the fries like no tomorrow. Maybe I just stumbled into wrong restaurant, I’m hoping to find something better soon.

I really wasn’t expecting this place to be that good because it’s on such a busy street, I thought it might just be a tourist trap. But it was surprisingly good. The restaurant we originally wanted to go to was closed so we found Le saint germain and it was good. We had the escargots, a croque Madame, and their roasted chicken. And everything was delightful. Our server was nice, judged us for not ordering wine but we were just getting a light pre dinner meal lol. If you’re hungry after going to museum d’orsay, this place isn’t a bad choice! And the food here is definitely better(and cheaper)! than café deux magots and and café de flore(even though those restaurants are cute and known for the artists that used to frequent them). So all in all, good and reasonably priced French bistro food. Sit outside to people watch :)

Great service. Decent food. Menu in multiple languages, very tourist friendly. We got onion soup(great), café(good), café Venetian(Good), and the pâté plate(lovely). We also got the moule et frites(mussels). The mussels are a bit small. Almost like clams. Lol. But we are from west coast canada. Where mussels look like Arnold! Great people and friendly service, they are just top notch. Definitely good for a day 1, jet lagged couple with kid on a cold rainy Monday evening.

Glad the restaurant was open on Sunday. We sat outside to indulge ourselves with café, wine, crepes and escargots. Kevin the server was super friendly and entertaining. He even taught us how to ask for the bill in French. We had a great time.

Decently priced for the location of this café. Typical Parisian fare, but well done with lovely friendly staff! Sit all the way outside so you can soak in the people watching. My 5 fromages were lovely and my friends steak and frites was well done, though a bit more than he liked.

A bientôt!

Excellent service, English friendly, great wine! A little expensive for a bistro, but good food and great service. Definitely not a crappy tourist trap.
