They have excellent salmon with vegetables and wine selections. There’s also a lot of outdoor seating, so you most likely will not need to wait. The waiters are a bit intolerant of people who don’t speak French, but they provided decent service anyway. Pricing is quite reasonable as well especially their fish specials. Overall a really pleasant place to stop for a quick meal if you’re staying in the Latin Quarter.

We were starving, and it was our first time in the neighborhood, so we stopped in the first place we saw (since we were in kind of a large group, it was hard to protest). While my cheeseburger was very delicious, it cost me 16 euro, which to me is unacceptable. Furthermore, when it came time to pay the bill, it did not include tax which we had to add on ourselves. This made the food even more expensive. Its clearly a tourist trap and I would not recommend going there, only because you can find equally good food for lower prices.

This place is convenient to the Natural History Museum. Staff was welcoming and efficient. Food? Not so good. We had the kids split a pasta plate … we tasted it and it was just gummy and flavorless. I had a seafood salad plat and the missus a salmon salad entrée. They were almost identical both very tired smoked salmon. Don’t seek this place out.

Totally great neighborhood café. The staff are all extremely nice and very laid back. My husband and I both speak French pretty well, and they all were kind enough to speak back to us in French, which we always appreciate. After all, we aren’t there to practice our English! :)
We were there during the Olympics, so our teenaged son always wanted to eat there so that we could watch a bit of the games on their good, but not intrusive TV. Often the waiters would stand near and watch with us and we’d all make comments together. We felt very, very «at home» here.

Regarding the food — the daily ham sandwich specials, which are all around 5 euros are an outstanding deal. Their onion soup wasn’t so great — but their Croque Monsieurs are fantastic! Excellent tap beer and coffee to boot.

La carte donne envie, et les plats même les moins chers valent le détour. Les serveurs sont vraiment adorables. La terrasse est vraiment très chouette quand le printemps arrive.

Je suis venue boire un verre une ou deux fois ici, et bon… il y a certes une grande terrasse ensoleillée dans l’après-midi, mais elle se trouve sur la rue Monge, au niveau des feux: c’est donc assez bruyant. J’ai trouvé le service assez long, pas très sympa.
Du côté des prix rien à redire, c’est très correct pour le quartier, mais ça né suffit pas à faire mon bonheur. Il y a mieux tout près (Au Verse Toujours par exemple !)

Dans un quartier vivant pres de la rue Mouffetard et proche du jardin des plantes si vous demandez un bar brasserie restaurant je vous dirai Le Village Monge. Avec une terrasse fort sympathique et une décoration agréable vous avez de quoi passer un très bon moment ! Un service excellent et des serveurs avec une bonne dose d’humour et toujours là pour vous servir ! Les prix sont très raisonnables pour ce quartiers ! Un café recommandé !
