Top !

Right next to one of the best shopping districts in Paris this cosy restaurant is absolutely buzzing with French people. This is clearly a very popular destination to get a coffee and a quick break from walking through the shops. The service is very quick and very friendly. The beer is very nice and cold, we just got drinks but I’m sure the food tastes good. Judging by what the people around us are eating the food looks really really nice. Definitely a good place to go for lunch or late lunch!

A small and unpretentious restaurant, Le Voltigeur specializes in quiches and Croque Monsieurs(a French favorite, grilled ham and cheese). Both are good and reasonably priced(around € 9), but small. Every dish comes with a basic salad and a delicious vegetable soup. The cheesecake we had for dessert was excellent, but the desserts were expensive. The wait staff is young, artistic/alternative, and receptive. Altogether a great lunch spot! Highly recommended.

Not what I expected walking in, but I totally fell in love with the Voltigeur. Where other places turned us away on a busy Sunday, the staff here welcomed us with open arms and squeezed us into this adorable little restaurant. First of all, they have possibly the best hot chocolate I’ve had here in Paris. It wasn’t too rich or too sweet, and you can bet I’ll be back at least once before I leave just for the hot chocolate. It’s a limited menu — just quiche, soup, and two salads other than drinks and desserts — but what the do, they do well. Looking around at the other tables, the quiche were by far the most popular option. They were so fluffy and perfect. Each came with a side salad and soup, of which the assembly routine seemed to be down pat at the open-air prep counter. They’re a well-oiled machine churning out the prettiest quiche plates around. My friends said the creamy vegetable soup was good enough to want to bathe in. I basically feel the same way about the hot chocolate. If you’re cool with a limited menu in packed yet friendly space, check this place out for a break from shopping in the Marais.

This is a pretty space with a casual vibe in the Marais. The patio gets afternoon sun so it’s a nice place to sit at for a while if you’re looking to hang out for a bit and read or wait for a friend. In terms of food and bev, I tried a spinach & goat cheese quiche that was decent, and I had a coffee and a fresh juice which were both good although the juice was 8 euros which in my opinion is a little expensive for something sans booze. Overall it’s a good casual lunch or hangout spot with a nice busy vibe.

The quiches are as good as everyone says they are, and I really like the fact that they serve a little cup of soup on the side. Now, as for the hot chocolate… It isn’t bad, but isn’t that great either. They serve it in a «different» way(you can dose how much chocolate you want to mix with your milk), which is a bit fun. Other than that, the taste is quite standard.

Grabbed lunch here today. Great décor inside, it was a nice place to relax after shopping. Service was pretty good. Reasonsbley priced for France standards — quiche came with a cup of a soup and green salad, all for under 12 Euros. The quiche is made ahead of time and is heated up once ordered. I ordered the Lorraine and it was pretty good, generous portion of ham and cheese. The meal was quite filling ! We finished our meal with lattes and they were nicely made. Yay, I’m a fan.

Was floating between 3 and 4 stars on this one, but finally decided to fall forward! :) It is, indeed, a charming place with lots of local color, and my croque monsieur and the vegetable soup was very tasty — much creamier than we expected. There was clearly a pecking order — no food, can’t use these tables; only those tables… and that entire interaction was a bit snarky, despite my daughter’s insistence to work out the equation au Francais. But once seated, service was attentive, and the ambiance was… well… Pariasian! A very good place for lunch in the Marias.

Sat down for a coffee only: was pleasantly surprised by the friendly waiter(a relief after rude-mannered service elsewhere in Paris) and the more than superb coffee!

I almost don’t want to tell you about arguably the best hot chocolate in Paris + a really relaxed atmosphere that has made this place very popular.
