L’Entrecôte

Había ido Al entrecôte en Burdeos, hará cosa de 15 años. Lo tenía como uno de los mejores entrecotes que jamás hubiera comido. La ternura de la carne, la salsa y esas patatas fritas hacían que ocupara el Olimpo de mis recuerdos. Así que viendo que al lado del hotel donde nos hospedábamos había una franquicia, fui ni corto ni perezoso.
Pero cuando uno tiene las expectativas altas, existen muchos números de que acabes llevándote un chasco. Y eso me ha pasado. La franquicia está en un local pequeño, en la que aquellos manteles a cuadros de tela han sido cambiados por unos de papel. El plato principal sigue siendo el bistec con salsa con patatas fritas y una ensalada con nueces. Pero ya no viene cortado, no sobre una bandeja con velas para mantener lo caliente. Y las patatas han dejado de ser frescas a ser de bolsa. Eso sí, la carne es tierna, la salsa esta rica y el precio es inmejorable (15,8 €)
El servicio además estaba más atento al fútbol que a ser amable (fue correcto). Y el baño contenía un hedor nauseabundo, difícil de definir.
En definitiva buena carne, pero demasiadas cosas adicionales muy mejorables

I don’t know why I am even writing a Unilocal review in Paris. Please excuse this act of weakness. I’m an American, with hearts in his eyes. Lonely. Paris is for lovers, apart or together. I’ll just say «Merci», very much. This steak is delicious, along with the odd ambiance to my raw senses. I’ll have nourishment as I haunt these streets, like a ghost with the rest of the ghosts… That makes up some of the «je né sais quoi» of this city, the air is thick with us spirits, left behind because we refuse to stop loving you…
Who must I kill to get the recipe for the green sauce on the steak? WHO???

Best steak and fries I EVER had, went twice while in Paris.

Having just landed at Paris-​Charles de Gaulle Airport after a direct six hour flight, my former love and I were beyond exhaustation.
At L’Entrecôte we each had a bowl of onion soup. I had the lamb chops while my former love had a rib steak. We finished up with Crème Brulée before heading back to the hotel to call it a night. I rate L’Entrecôte two stars as quality of food is okay and service is just okay as neither entice my heart’s fire.
